Latest reviews for CAMPING VERDON PROVENCE
This is a medium size campsite set in Provenance on hill with a beautiful lake at bottom. It has pleasant restaurant which is closed on Mondays. There is a bar with a balcony overlooking the pool.Prices are all reasonable, mains around 16- 20 euro and PizzasWe had a tent pitch which was on small stones so you will need a hammer for tent pegs and a decent ground sheet. There is no car parking by tents, you drive in drop off kit and set up then park in main car park. On leaving same method, we did drive in, drop shopping of and went back car park during the stay. This is not an issue and in many ways I prefer this as less cars on site as well as car doors opening and closing. There are plenty of sunbeds around the swimming pool. There is a jacuzzi and sauna for pre book for about 5 euros.Wash room toilet block clean and modern.Site friendly atmosphere like other naturist campsites.Cheerful and friendly staff who speak good to limited English, yes I should learn FrenchThere is a nice town to explore about 8km away and further drive to a hypermarket.Although it is on lake it is a bit of a trek to get to it. If you have mobility issues you would find it difficult. I would saw similar to in UK Hiking in the fells stony rocky paths. However if fit and able all good.
Spent 3 nights here on our trip round france. We stayed in our camper so can't comment on the rooms, but the service is good and the location amazing..It's in the hills on the side of an amazing lake, this is a slightly tricky walk away but it's all naturist and swimming in the lake makes the treck worthwhile. There is a lovely little swimming pool and sunbathing area, and a good Terence that serves drinks and meals.
Very nice camp. Super laid back. Will come here again for sure. 🦊👍
A magical place. Visited for a week early September 2023. Camping was quite full but despite of that super quiet. Very clean facilities and amazingly friendly staff!Lake is 15mins hike down the mountain and nudist area is quite large!
Having only just arrived this is a sort review. However the location is stunning, the accommodation is fantastic and the husband and wife team (not got their names yet) that greeted and welcomed us were brilliant. A full review to follow. So after a week here, the staff continue to be fantastic, we had a leaking sink waste someone was there to fix it before we got back from reception (even took his shoes off before entering). There are a couple of lovely dogs of the site, one decided that most evenings she would stop by our chalet, just to check what we were having for tea. The pool is great, heated comfortably and kept immaculate. Their were a few people in and out during the week but as it's the first week of opening it was relatively quiet. There are some trails that take you down to the lake edge, these are not gentle strolls down so be prepared for a little clambering & make sure you take anything you might need as you won't be "nipping" back for it. The water was lovely (not that warm but for 1st may that was expected) and access into the water is a bit rocky. If you looking at going out and about any kind of shopping is about 30 mins away (Manosque has most of the big retailers in one place) and if you want lavender products we found a really good producer Lavandes Angelvin in Valensol. The big question, would we return.... In a heartbeat one of the nicest places we have stayed.
