CAMPING MUNICIPAL LE GRAND CANYON

Be ware, when taking a place with electricity you need a very long extension cable to reach your place (sometimes over 5-10 meters)! This is never told to you or mentioned otherwise in the booking, so we were left without even tho we had payed for it. And talking to an employee proved to be difficult since they have very limited opening times.We also came back in the evening at 10:30, expecting the gate of the camping to be open as stated on the website, but found it closed with no one to reach, so we had to leave our car outside of the campsite and jump the fence…when talking before leaving with the receptionist she seemed very uninterested, and on top of that stated that they won’t refund the electricity even tho we did not use it.It’s facilities were clean and the location oke, but the places and the service was very lacking! A bad representation of the nearby village!

The reception was closed when we arrived (at 14:30), so we did not receive the code for the door when we came back in the evening, we were locked out. On top of that, we were not able to use the electricity, and when asked for a refund for the electricity we were told no, and that the pin machine is broken, so they are unable to. The camping itself is ok, nothing special, but the service was horrible.

The camping is in the perfect spot for many hiking trails, you can take your place even if you arrive late and the reception is closed, and it's very cheap. But a climbing group arrived and ruined everything, they set up a party in the communal area with huge speakers, it felt like being in a club. It was so disrespectful and no one of the camping was there to control. They were probably friends with the owners, it was the worst experience in a camping site in my life

Friendly and patient staff. Good location just outside the village in nice setting with lots of green and trees. We did a stop over to climb routes de cretes to top and ride down on single trail (allmoutain/enduro) back to the village psv. Great value for money . Below 20eur for 2 persons & camper with electr.

Rustic but functional campsite. Reception hours are limited. Otherwise there is a caretaker who helps you. Easy access to the village. Large pitches. Nicely shaded by trees. Facilities are a bit dated but functional.
