Great campsite! Stayed here for 6 nights in June and used the public transport and our van to get around.Clean facilities, great location 10-15 minute walk to Peillon station. Easy access to Nice, Monaco, Menton etc.Quiet campsite, although the road can be noisy in the day but not a problem at night.Great help at reception, we were given maps and step by step guide to the train system and Nice. Lovely bread and pastries on order the night before. Lots of books, maps and games as well as phone charging point in a shared tent.Lovely view of the perched village of Peillon from the end of the campsite. Worth a visit but the road is very high and tight in places!Would definitely return in the future :)
The owner welcomed us warmly even as a late arrival on 1st June. We stayed 2 nights and (V) the owner was very helpful when our electric cables let us down. Lending us his and advising us where to go to replace ours for the ongoing holiday.Yes only 2 of each, toilet, sink and shower and pot wash area a bit cramped but very clean and serviceable.Lovely communal area with 2 tables and benches, 2 loungers, BBQ and reading tent with power supply.Perfect for a quiet peaceful stay. Not luxurious but we are 'camping' after all and the owner was very very friendly, caring and helpful.Would definitely recommend. Jean n John from England.
**Terrible Camping Experience**Our recent stay at this campsite was an absolute disaster, mainly because of the owner's blatant dislike for young people. Even though we followed all the rules and kept quiet, the owner would still yell at us for no reason. He even tried to limit us to one beer each, even though no one was drunk. The bathroom facilities were awful. The motion-activated lights would turn off at the worst times, leaving you in the dark. Plus, the faucets were so poorly designed that you couldn't use them without getting soaked. The campsite is right next to a busy road, making it extremely noisy and hard to relax. The worst part was when the owner mistakenly thought we were only staying for one night instead of the two we booked. He banged on our camper early in the morning, demanding to know why we were still there. After checking, he realized we were right but didn’t apologize and started complaining about something else instead. The only good thing about this place was the owner’s wife, who was friendly, unlike her rude husband. Overall, I would advise everyone to stay away from this terrible campsite.
We spent a couple of nights here in our camper van and we had a great time. The hosts are superb and were so helpful giving us advice on everything from transport to assistance with our laundry. The atmosphere of the place was lovely and easy going which sometimes isn’t the case on campsites. The pitches were ‘natural’ in the way that they were laid out. Quite small as sites go but it means that everything is tight knit and just seemed to work. Would 100% return next time we’re in the area.
Very familiar camping site. The owner is very welcoming (personally guides you around the campsite, provides translated information for public transport...). We could easily prolong for another night. Simple, clean and cozy.
