CAMPING L'HIPPODROME

Aug 2024 (review on the campsite part with reception). Great pitches, tree shades everywhere, feels like living on an alley lined with trees. Pitches separated by green bushes. Each pitch has a tap with cold water. Sanitaries on the camping side with reception are absolutely stunning - stylish, modern with beautiful scent in every corner. 5 min walk from gigantic hypermarket with moderate prices and 10 min walk from beautiful beaches. Beaches are not overcrowded, in fact you can come at any hour and there will be enough space for a group of 4-6 people with paddle boards and other things scattered around you, etc. Clear sea, clean beaches overlooking Nice. Camp has an amazing big (and deep) pool with separate jacuzzi tubs and beautiful chaise-longs. Everything is nice and pretty. Nice is reachable by seacoast panoramic bike ride; there are direct buses to explore other places in Cote d’Azur. No noise from guests just the road next to the camp is quite busy in the morning/evening hours but if you plan to explore the coast and travel, you will never be bothered :-) !

Stayed here with friends for a few nights.All the staff were very welcoming and really informative.Location is in a busy area, but close to supermarket, restaurants, the beach, cycle and walking routes and a local bus stop.The pool was great, showers very clean and modern, with all other facilities needed.Nice flat areas with shade and decent hedge separation.We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Nice clean tidy site Nice size pitches and the facilities are well maintained. Chemical toilet and grey water waste area was a bit tight to manoeuvre the van into. We did make a mistake when booking and hadn't realised how close to town it was. Very busy road next to the campsite, although it did get quieter as the evening drew in. The main entrance was right on top of the road with just enough room for a motor home so anyone arriving at the same time as you would cause congestion outside. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Good start point to explore Nice by bike.Service areas were renewed at the main side of the campsite.All areas were cleaned up well regularly while our stay.Pierre was a gentle host.And yes, the street nearby is loud, but note, you are very close to the center and beach, at night it's quiet enough to sleep well.

Small camping with a beautiful pool, small but great baby area with games, beautiful and clean bathrooms. Also the location is great to visit both the beach and the town of Nice.
