Latest reviews for CAMPING ARC-EN-CIEL
We stayed for 3 nights here, originally having booked for 1. As a family run site, we appreciated the attention to detail around the place.*The clean and well shaded pitches,*water basins at each pitch,*clean bathrooms,*lovely pool (especially in the heat we experienced)*friendly and helpful owners*quirky sculptures and well tended garden featuresIt's easy to get to town on the no13 bus or by bicycle. The fruit and veg store along the road is well stocked with all sorts of other lovely food too.Highly recommended!
Lovely place ideally located close to Aix. Has a really homely feel and the pitch we had for our campervan was great.Only marked down slightly as we were told the pitches were first come, first served. This meant we couldn't book and threw out our itinerary a little. Also didn't know that reception was closed 12-3!Helpful lady in golf cart got us a pitch anyway, which was very lucky - she was very kind. The dog and cats were lovely and friendly but the ducks on the nearby water made a bit of a noise at night-time. Maybe it's breeding season? 😄Overall a great place, only improved if booking ahead was possible.
Great location for Aix en Provence. Please read the reviews with an open mind. We were very pleasantly welcomed by the owners who are a superb family. They squeezed us in a very busy site that's not bookable. The pitch was big enough for our 7.4m A class and nothing was too much trouble. We had plenty of room to get our wind out awning water and elec on pitch. Shaded by bushes and trees. Monday night local food and drink vans turn up. Great food and all cooked fresh with some superb beers and ice cream afterwards . €25 for pitch 2 adults, elec water for an A class and 2 dogs. Brilliant price.Showers are wonderful having our own toilet and sink in each cubicle was brilliant. They're not brand new but spotless. Washing machine and hair dryer. Yes there's a bit of road noise. You are on the edge of a major city!!!! A wonderful one at that.Local shops accross the road and great as a stop off the A7.We loved Aix en Pce opting to spend the whole afternoon wandering round the old streets . We cycled in and it was brilliant. There's a bus if you don't cycle and it is slightly up hill going in .All in all this is a superb little, family run welcoming site with many regulars.A bonus. The swimming pool. Like a lot of France it's swimming trunks only for men. No board shorts. We were surprised that Motoroamers didn't give this oalce a good review. We have travelled all over Europe and for the location and price this site is amazing. We will return . Thank you.
amazing camping so close to the city center... even if there is a close highway, you dont feel it at all ( very well sound isolated). well shaded places because of dense old vegetation, sparkling clean sanitaries and the sound of a small river in the middle of the camping makes you sleep good!they have a nice swimming pool to relax!the owners are a very friendly and helpful family and they take care about any problem. And....you CAN pay now by credit card! good price!I will come back !
Oasis for campers. Aix centre is just 10 min by bus. Bus stop is in front of the campsite entrance. The site itself is very beautiful: there is a rover crossing it, place full of vegetation, fruit trees. Quite shady. There is big swimming pool and table tennis. Regularly there are caravans with food and beer coming in the evening.
