This is a good option for Arles because one can walk or easily bicycle to the center. LUMA Arles, the eye-catching tower designed by Frank Gehry, is just a kilometer away, and most of the old town is less than a kilometer farther. The campground has small and large pools and a small playground. There's a bar-cafe that provides croissants, baguettes, and pain chocolates if ordered the day before. A large dining area at the reception and bar-cafe has tables and chairs plus electrical outlets. Camping spots are good sized. The small sanitaires building can get busy, and it is a long walk from many of the campsites. Additional showers are across from reception, but are an even longer walk away. Except for a few chairs outside reception, there is no place to sit down when the bar-cafe is closed. I paid €18 for one person on a bicycle.
All good, nice campsite, but after I paid upfront and I got to the reception, they decided to ask for extra for my cat, same as per a dog.Cat is not even going out from the motorhome...
We hadn't reserved a place but the very friendly staff managed to accommodate us with our tent in the children's playground and gave us discount for it. Spacious clean showers, toilets a little less. Coffee in the morning was great! Recommended
I must say twice recently we have been turned away at full campgrounds.... when we arrived here the EXTREMELY nice gentleman working the desk informed us that the campground was full but if we could find a spot for our tents we could stay. We found enough room and stayed in an overly full campground and they still had no problem managing the large numbers. There is a huge area to relax out of the sun plus a large pool. They offer drinks and snacks and the bathrooms and showers were clean with no waiting. Seriously this is a well run campground doing its very best to serve the campers that arrive. Thank you!!
I was hesitant about camping here based on the reviews. We arrived around 2 pm and asked for a tent campsite. We were told that they were full, but to check the children's playground to see if we wanted to pitch our tent if there was room. There weren't many spots left, but we did pitch our tents. THE CAMPSITE WAS CROWDED. They have a great area to lounge around, a nice pool, and the bathrooms and showers are clean. Like I said, the place was crowded, but we didn't have to wait to shower or use the bathroom. I would definitely return. There were a few mosquitoes but no big deal.
