Beautiful campsite a converted farmhouse, lovely setting very welcoming staff very good size pitches with electricity and water 2 pitches sharing, spotless showers and toilets plenty of hot water for doing the dishes. Well maintained swimming pool. Lovely to sit in the courtyard and have a beer or a glass of wine or two. Would have no hesitation in recommending to stay here it's such a unique and lovely place, we had a wonderful stay, thank you Martina
Very nice camping place in an excellent location to visit the attractions around Arles and Carmague. Very nice receptionist, service, and the restaurant and owner, who is always at the place. Downsides: the wifi did not work very well and there was nearly no mobile phone reception. The sanitaires could have be cleaned more regularly.
Lovely little camp site, run by a small family of very hearty people. The site holds 40-ish pitches for tents or caravans, all separated by hedges and trees, providing cosy private sites. Electricity and water are available on all pitches, private fridges can be rented and placed on the pitch site on request.Sanitary facilities are clean, unisex (which I appreciate) and set with French radio, allowing for a pleasant stay. The restaurant is situated in the cosy courtyard. Although the menu isn’t big, it holds a variety of lovely, very tasty dishes. When the restaurant closes down mid September (in our case 18.09.), you can still order pizza at the restaurant for take away.Bread and croissants can be ordered the day before at the reception. All in all a campsite as one could wish for - cosy and heartfelt. We hope we can come back some time!
How amazing to find at crossing point of GR6 and GR42 that oasis in the middle of the Camargue. You are immersed in the spirit of the south of France in that wonderful house. Before to eat I recommend you to swim in the swimming pool and sun bath just below the fig tree. You will have your dinner in the court of that old farm surrounded by various flowers. The owners give you a warm welcome. They are very flexible and available. They really make an atmosphere in the place that makes everybody so gentle. We slept tight in our tent below the two trees of place 51.I think you understood, we loved the place! ❤
Nice enough campsite and a nice restaurant and good shop facility but a few drawbacks which included a busy roundabout nearby (intersection of four main roads) and a truck stop just the other side of the perimeter which kept us awake most nights. It is also quite isolated and we will probably stay at the other campsite in Tarascon itself next time. The real sour point of what could have been a reasonable stay was that we were charged a €15 booking fee and when I queried it the owner tried to tell us it was normal... We stayed at six French campsites over the summer and many more in other years and have NEVER been charged a booking fee (certainly not after having to pay a deposit too). I’ll be honest - it seems like a blatant money grab. Hope it was worth it.
