Very nice alternative for the other campings in the area of Guillestre. This camping is old school, with a lot of nice small and bigger emplacements, if you need electricity be sure to bring a LONG cable. If you choose wisely, a good shadow on your emplacement is possible. Really nice vibe on the whole camping, not too crowded but if you want enough contact with like minded people! The river is too fast and cold for swimming, but there are multiple possibilities for dipping a toe in, either next to the camping, on the other side of the river, and near the bridge.Indeed a lot of glide planes due to the airport nearby, but the sound did not matter us at all, to be honest.Small shop at the reception for some necessities, some good beers. We enjoyed our time here very much!! When we come back to the Durance valley, this will be our spot no doubt. My only point of complain would be the toilets; bringing your own toilet paper is no problem, but the standing toilets with islands for your feet are more than a little outdated ;)But all in all; highly recommend if you want to be in the Durance valley but away from the crowds.
Absolutely great place. Quiet and peaceful. No noise from the road. Shared kitchen. Good for kids. Small store. It has something from the hippy village.
Nice camping! Big and beautiful places for the tent with trees and shadow. The location is very good; close to the Durance, near nice Col’s to do with the bike, and good hikes around the camping. The staff is very kind and helpful. The fresh bread is delicious every morning. There’s a good wifi-spot at the reception. The toilets are ok, and the showers are good. There’s a public kitchen with free-to-use fridges. Another great thing is the indoor pingpongtable, we had a lot of fun with it. All in all a great camping with a good ambiance.
Came for a day, stayed for a week. (1p, tent, motorcycle)After having slept in sardinebox campings the previous week, i finally found a real oldschool camping. quiet, calm, simple, space, pick your spot, nature, great price, lovely host,...Tip for those for who the river is a little to cold, there is a great little swimming lake a little further down the road (not "le lac") but on the other side. 44.738788, 6.579251There is a bar and restaurant at the next camping 5min walk along the river.Looking forward to coming back!
Great campsite, with much shade and very lovely owners and employees! We visited without car and while there is a bus that connects Saint crepin to the surrounding villages it is a little hard to get around without car. The camping shop however provides all necessities and there is a swimming pool on short walking distance (1200 meters) and a very nice lake on a longer walking distance (5km) following a nice path along the river! Great walks and climbing sites in the close surrounding (on walking distance) but as it was really hot when we visited (35-37 degrees) we decided to leave a little earlier than planned to a higher (and cooler) campsite! We will definitely come back!
