Beware of camping here if there are storms. No one can control the weather, but the pitches on the beach side seem to be divided into two areas. The one on the right (facing the sea) seemed to have more of a problem with drainage resulting puddles remaining on paths and pitches for days. One couple dug a trench around their pitch and filled it with sand to try and stop the flooding. Sand was brought up from the beach area a few days later after a number of complaints to try and soak up the puddles on the pitches. We stayed on pitch 24, a bad choice, right next to the glass recycling which was noisy and started around 7am and finished around 10pm. There is another glass recycling centre near reception, it would be better if people had to take their bottles up there. Some have said the outdoor showers were lovely, but not in 14 degrees and thunderstorms. There was a covered shower block in the other area which was fairly basic. The location is perfect, the beach perfect, beach bars perfect, but we left three days early as more thunderstorms were on the way, Reception was the slowest that I'd ever come across, around 30 mins to check in but that's no an issue, just left everyone scratching their heads as to why it took so long to deal with people.
Unfortunately, bad experience with the reception, as we made a reservation(five months before a trip), we remarked that we need to have a peach with the shadow because staying in a small tent. We got a peach with zero shadow and as we tryed to change a peach, we bumped into very rude stuff at the reception. of course they did nothing about it, literally was sad they don't care. Zero customer orientation, in my experience, bed organized.of course they were a good side, like perfect location, nice beach, not far away from Port Grimaud, good for cycling.
Absolutely fabulous place right on the beach in grimoud spotless toilet blocks with shower and sinks with hairdryers never a wait for one there were so many .10 or 6 amp ehu . 5 min walk into the beautifully port grimaud . Like a mini Venice with dozens of excellent restaurants also beach bars etc close by. Can't wait to go again
Very good location, friendly stuff! Parcels are located on both sides of the road connected by an underground tunnel. See side parcels are more sunny, with a beautiful view and with a higher price tag.Close to Port Grimaud 2km, and to Saint Tropez 10km, bike trail to both locations! No toilet boards and paper in the restrooms!
Lovely campsite right on the beach. Great spot to explore the area from. Bike path right outside. Campsite is divided by a road, but has a tunnel adjoining them. Lovely beach bar, convenient on site shop. Loses a star as I prefer loo rolls to be provided, and in peak season you have to join a long queue to book in, as they tell you to just turn up. Little dicey if you’re touring like us, but it is a big site, and all was fine.
