I have never experienced anything like this before. Arrived at 10pm by bike, no longer able to access the campsite even though the operator let me sleep on site in the adjacent parking lot. Not recommended. Thank you
Having traveled across Europe staying at dozens of campsites, I can definitively say this was the greatest disappointment of them all. Having confirmed a place at this campsite over the phone, we drove 7 hours to reach it. After this long day, we arrived shortly after 7pm due to very heavy traffic, only to find the gates locked. We called the owner who said that, despite there being space in the site, we couldn’t come in. Exhausted we had to frantically find another place to stay at the last minute. Fortunately we found “Camping Mauvallon 1” where the hosts were absolutely lovely, the site was amazing including a visit by the bakers wife for morning pastries, and was much cheaper than l’Hermitage. Go here instead!
A very rude owner who made the campsite extremely unpleasant for our very well behaved 9 and 11 year old. They were told off for pushing off of the wall too hard in the pool and accidentally splashing which made both of them frightened of going back in the pool or in fact even walk to the toilet block alone. They were told off for playing badminton ENTIRELY on our pitch and our neighbours were told off for hanging towels very discreetly over a wall to dry.Rude, arrogant and self important. A very cliquey french clientèle who seem to think the sun shines out of his backside.Music also plays very late considering his responses to other daytime activites above.Avoid if you are english, have children or want a 'normal' campsite holiday. Pitches are extremely small too. They really should stop pretending that they are a campsite and open solely as a holiday lodge site.Shame as town and beaches and all other local people are lovely.
Stinky but expensive campsite. Stinking and arrogant illiterate worker. Come with detergents and wash cloths from home to wash their floors etc, because this stinking illiterate, gives you the shack cleaned and washed by the previous tourist. Fainted with hunger and stinking, something common by the way…. If you want to ruin your holidays, go to the stinky man.
It's a great campsite with beaches nearby the owner was a extraordinary friendly man with friendly jokes. Prices are fair, 65€ for 2 places 5 people & electricity! The small pool is a nice way to start the day! Thanks a lot!
