RÉPUGNANT! Disgusting sanitary facilities and smell on the whole campsite!Zero Stars.
Disgusting campsite. DO NOT GO HERE
The three of us were cycling in France. In the evening we went looking for a campsite around 6 p.m. Unfortunately, everything in the area was already fully booked. Because of the bad Google reviews, we didn't want to go to this campsite. However, after we couldn't find another campsite and it was getting late, we reluctantly decided to drive here and were extremely pleasantly surprised! The gentleman who welcomed us was extremely friendly and showed us to the campsite. He showed us the showers, toilets and several places from which we could choose.Although we were reluctant to camp here at first, we had one of the best evenings on our tour here. The showers were warm, there were tables and chairs that we could use freely and there was even toilet paper in the toilets (we had never had that at any campsite before). The campsites were like small carports, overgrown with climbing plants. The facility was a bit run down, but everything was clean and had a certain charm. In the end we were very happy that we had chosen this campsite. We felt very comfortable and were able to continue driving the next day fresh and relaxed.I can only recommend that everyone not be put off by the reviews. Sometimes it depends on your own attitude whether a place becomes something positive. So thank you very much for the lovely overnight stay!
Basic. There is room for tents, toilets, drinking water and a trash can. The sanitary facilities are not very new, the toilets and sinks themselves are clean, but the paint is peeling from the walls. That was enough for us (three people in their twenties) for one night. It's 6 mins walk from the station, 30 mins walk from the beach. There was quite a bit of noise during the night after midnight, either from other campers or from the seasonal workers who live next door (we were next to the toilets). It may be possible to have a quieter location further from the entrance.
As you can see in the photos, this unsanitary haven of peace can cost you 30 euros per night (variable rate depending on your naivety and payment in cash)A charming cowhide as “manager” will make you understand that once the scam is cashed out, there is no going back (no refund because, I quote, “it’s me who sets the conditions and that's why I cash in before")In short, if you have legs, wheels, a bike, a scooter or any other means of transport, run away!! Save yourself this experience and go wild camping, you will lose less in the process. Also, a question arises: is the recycling center at the back or inside the campsite?Note: the reception staff, although paid under the table (assumption) remain very pleasant and helpful, the only positive point.
