Hands-down our favourite campsite of our recent roadtrip round France. The position is great, seconds from the lakeside. Pitches are big and well-maintained and the facilities are spotless and a pleasure to be in.The front desk are brilliant, they even took us round on a golf cart to choose the perfect pitch!Lots of watersports opportunities nearby and a great base to explore Verdon. It's a bit more expensive than municipal campsites, but well worth the extra IMO.
Great location, just behind a one track road and the beach the otherside. Very quiet and peaceful, the lake is beautiful. Facilities were clean and fairly up to date, hot water in showers and washing up. Plenty of toilets and showers for all. Lots of pitches in blocks so felt relatively private too. Dogs allowed on leads in the campsite and beach. Would come back
Brilliant site, with great services and very helpful hosts.Positioned right on the lake, great kids play area, a little cafe that do pizza/burgers etc. What more could you want?!The lake itself is also beautiful - you must visit the gorge by boat!
The campsite itself is lovely. Very clean. Over the road to the lake and up the hill to the village. However, the experience was spoilt for us due to the owner’s lack of care over a theft which took place at the campsite. Our Swiss friend inadvertently left his wallet at the snack bar after purchasing food. He did not realise until the owner came the next morning to return the wallet. He said someone had posted the wallet through the campsite letterbox. His cards were still in the wallet, but all the money had been taken (Euros and Swiss francs). CCTV showed the bar person posting it into the letterbox. He said he had found it on the floor at 10.30 pm (we were there at 5.30 pm). Very strange for a thief to take the money and leave the wallet at the scene of the crime. The owner did not call the Police and did not seem to care. He should care that thieves operate on his premises and warn guests accordingly. We will not return. If it had not been for this incident I would have given 5 stars.
Lovely camping. Beautiful spot near the lake and great point to start experiencing the Gorge. We were really lucky and had a spot looking over the water. Close to the village and dog friendly. Wouldve wanted to stay longer if not for the weather. We recommend!
