Latest reviews for CAMPING LE SOLEIL DE PROVENCE
If you like rules and order and constantly being controlled by the female owner, this might be the place for you. Otherwise I would highly recommend another camping site. The pool and the slides are really nice, as is the location. But we were not even allowed to put up a hammock between two solid trees (why?). The water temperature in the showers can also not be regulated and the light in the wash houses is switched off in the night.Definitely not worth four stars :(
I stayed at this campsite back in August 2012. I am currently back in the same location (August 2017) but in a far nicer campsite nearby. My stay there was very disappointing. The site was a good size however it had absolutely no shade. On leaving after 3 nights I produced my card to pay however the lady would only accept cash which I thought unusual for a country like France. I was lucky that I had cash in the campervan safe. This campsite was overpriced for the level of service provided. I was even charged for a scooter which I had strapped to the back of the campervan. It was also an austere place with many rules.Unless things have changed since 2012 there are many campsites in this location to choose far nicer and better value than this one.
Most campers agree it is a very clean campsite. The pitches are big and have electricity and water. The shop opens from 8 to 10 for essentials and pre-ordered bread. There is a large intermarche+atm at 3 kilometers, and a super u and lidl a bit further. The slides are great. The pool is ok. The playground is for up to 12 yr old but our 8 yr old found it too babyish. There are also a small football pitch, a basketball net and a ping-pong table. The bouncy castle is very popular. There is also a bar with tv, a wireless room, an exercise room and an arcade room. There are also visiting artisans, pizza-van etc. Allowed several days a week.Customers are mainly families and cyclists. We loved the campsite. The views from the pool are stunning. The slides, bouncy castle and wifi were excellent. In our opinion, room for improvements:1. Closing shower-blocks from 12 to 16 is too long.2. Teens can get bored.3. Extending wifi to bar and pool area would be very popular. A better aerial would give better reception in intended areas.4 we were charged full adult rates for kids over 7. This should be clearly signposted because we felt robbed/cheated. 2012 family with car, tent two kids 48 eur per night.
Brilliant camp site, clean, efficient and friendly
The campsite I recently visited was absolutely fantastic! The entertainers were amazing, always full of energy and ready to entertain everyone. The swimming supervisor was very attentive to safety. The cook prepared super good pizzas, and the waitresses were very smiling. As for the activities, they were varied and fun, there was something for everyone! Plus the surroundings were really nice to visit. It was a truly memorable vacation experience thanks to this exceptional team.
