Things we liked:Nice campground with welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, a well-designed walk through the winery, bread service in the morning including delivery to your pitch, a big enough pool and a good restaurant, albeit offering rather small portions, so you’re well-advised to order several dishes, and with very little options for vegetarians. The wine is exceptional, especially the Rosé.Things to improve: the campground is separated into two different areas. You can either book category C, a smaller (and cheaper) pitch in the sun with no shade whatsoever, or category B, a bigger (and more expensive) pitch (double the size we would have needed) that offers some shade - a somewhat unhappy option for anyone travelling with an animal and/or no built-in AC. The service house (one of two) close to the B pitches is a bit aged and run down and could definitely be cleaner. It’s also only ever half open meaning you only have two toilets and two showers at your disposal while the other part is closed off (even though it services more than half of the campground). The showers are very annoying. I understand the need to save water, but a shower that only runs for seven seconds before you have to push a heavily working button again and again is a nightmare for anyone with more than three hairs on their head. When showering I not only found hair on the floor but also on the walls, a no go for a 4 star campground. There’s barely any room to put things (small corner wire rack is askew so your bottles unless placed very delicately will fall down) and the two hooks available aren’t separated from the shower space so prepare to have your clothes/towel/bag to be nearly as wet as yourself after showering. There is no space to put things next to the wash basins. No soap, no paper towels, which I found highly irregular for a 4 star campground. The wash basins for washing your dishes aren’t well-designed either. Again, the water only runs by pushing a button and for a few seconds, there’s no plug and the faucet is so short you have a hard time washing anything other than a small mug.Another thing I noticed, which of course is not the campsite’s fault, just an observation I’d like to share with people looking to stay here: the campsite seems to be a beloved destination for mostly Dutch/Belgian nationals of an older age group. Belonging to neither, we found ourselves somewhat excluded of the camping community going so far as to not only being not greeted, but people downright looking the other way when passing. Very odd behaviour I’ve never encountered at any other French campsite I’ve stayed at.
I stayed here for one night while cycle touring and loved it! The welcome was so friendly and the location is beautiful among vineyards and small villages. I had the option of some regular pitches or some special mini ones for cyclists near the facilities. They encouraged me to take a look at them before deciding, which is nice. There is a pool and bar there, and the night that I was there they had a small market in the vineyard that it was attached to so I was able to taste some wines there and get some food. It was a great experience!
Beautiful camping site huge pitches . Very tranquil and friendly. Order bread and they deliver to your pitch. Haven't ate here as restaurant opens three nights. Very clean pool . Bar and ice cream open 8.00 /1 then 3/ 8. Beautiful part of France.
Firstly I would like to say, the pitch size on this site is out of this world. You can fit two caravans on a pitch, and probably have room to spare. Absolutely excellent.Truth be told, we liked our stay here, despite being placed in the worst pitch possible for a couple wanting peace and quiet (and booking in regards to that). My recommendation is to stay away from the part as you come in - that whole area is affected by the close proximity to the pool and thereby families. If you stay in the middle, I am certain the experience for us would have been 5/5 - I recommend this site sincerely to make pre booking of pitch numbers possible, and when you have such a HUGE site, why not make a quiet area - you would really cater for all types of campers.Sadly when it comes to check in it was an extremely poor experience. I was actually ready to leave. The lady on the desk was unbelivably snappy, and seemed totally annoyed with us being there. Made me very sad actually, and the reason we during our 6 days stay, stayed totally away from the restaurant / reception area. We love wine, and despite staying at a vinyard, we actually drank wine brought from Alsace, as I preferred to stay away from the reception area due to the experience on check in. It was a very negative first impression sadly. We arrived 6 minutes past 1 pm (reception is closed from 1-3pm) and I even wrote in advance saying we had been stuck in traffic, and please could I check in because I knew we would arrive 6-7 minutes late (I had already paid all up front) but they made us wait outside in the car for 1 hrs 54 minutes in 38 degrees. I was actually quite disappointed - it could have been so much easier, as the gate was already open and they could have given us our pitch number on mail, as they replied to my request. Our pitch got registered wrongly and it gave huge confusion and stress on day 4, where we were called to reception to explain why we were on that pitch, when they had registered somewhere else. We even had the paperwork to show we stayed correctly. It was unnessesary and quite stressful.But.... the pool looks gorgeous. The site is huge and very well kept. The sanitary building from washing up to toilets and bathing is excellent. The new section even more so. It is always clean. The staff that pass around the site are friendly and smiling. When you order breakfast it is brought to you at your door in the morning - maybe earlier would be nice though.Access is very easy. It is placed quite close to Orange, and lots of beautiful sites around. It is quiet but you can be placed in areas where you have more noise than others. I would so love for the camp site to have more focus on the individual camper and their needs as they have every possibility to do so. The views are gorgeous. I would definitely return. It feels very provencale - it is like being in a garden. The hedges around the pitches make it extremely private, and the trees are mature and well kept. The whole feeling is very cosy and private - but a focus on the individual and their needs would be preferred. I would have stayed "at home" more at the caravan, had I been places in a more quiet location. Please consider that for pitches B42,43,44,45 and C14,13,14 ) - you have the most beautiful site, why not make it perfect for everybody?
We have really enjoyed this campsite in September with our rented campervan. Really nice surroundings with their own and all other vineyards in the area. Also very nice area for biking, lovely bikini routes. Did some wine tasting and bought bottles of wine (1 red and 1 rosé were fully tasted during our stay ;-)), the other red wine was taken home). With my birthday I had my breakfast at their terrace, and they gave good advice where to enjoy some home made patisserie (Seguret) and where to go for dinner (Villa Saint Antoine).
