CAMPING AU BORD DE LOIRE

Great campsite very close to the river, everything you need there, a bar open from 4 to 10pm, food truck each night and even local fruits available. We rented bikes for the day at 20 euro each. Pitches are flat and facilities are clean and good. All at a decent price.

Had a lovely stay here. Had pitched tent, had a drink and then disaster, a flood alert, we had to leave. We couldn't drive (hic)… the owner kindly offered us a tent on stilts and safety! We enjoyed two nights right next to the river. Needless to say we didn't drown and had a lovely time. A great location, very near the fabulous Saumur. Lots of cyclists using this place as a stop, can see why!

As pre main season some site facilities were shut but despite the rain this place is well worth a visit. The Roman Amphitheatre is amazing. We met and chatted to locals running a community garden for children and people with mobility issues which was very impressive even with the frog chorus.😵‍💫 The site seems well run snd sells local wine and a little produce. Very friendly and welcoming. Acres of woodland along side the site and excellent cycle routes. Great value too @ £13.86 fir night 2 peeps 1 chien and elecs.

Great site. Next to river. All services clean. Friendly reception staff . Lots to do in area. Cycling good.

Bike touring. Due to rain we rented a canvas tent with a view of the river. Nice kitchen shelter with hot plate and fridge. Hot showers, free wifi is only at office. Owner will bring your croissants by bike in the morning.
