CAMPING L'ISLE VERTE

This is an excellent campsite, right on the banks of the Loire. Large pitches (right by the river if you book it in advance) with great views. The facilities are spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful. Often used by cyclists doing the Loire route (who are well catered for), as well as the usual motorhomes and caravans. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay, spotlessly clean We had a wonderful stay with you. We asked to move pitches when we arrived as ours wasn’t sunny and were given a new pitch immediately. Staff were all friendly and even though the restaurant wasn’t open when we got there due to staff sickness, we drank on the bar and always had a friendly welcome. Toilets and showers were spotlessly clean although some of the showers wouldn’t stay in for longer than a few seconds. Dish washing area etc was well kept and clean. Close to the local village and easily accessible cycle paths etc.

We enjoyed a very comfortable 10 night stay on the campsite on a good size pitch overlooking the river. We enjoyed swimming in the heated pool and had a very nice meal in the restaurant. The only issues we experienced were loose slabs around the pool which were a health and safety issue and the regular power cuts, particularly in the mornings. It is strange that our electric fridge did not work during our stay so we had to run it on gas but it was fine again when we moved to our next site. I’m sure the issue will be addressed during the closed season.We enjoyed cycling on the many cycling routes and relaxing on site. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

It’s the most beautiful campsites there is in France and situated in one of the most beautiful Loire villages you could find.The owner and all of the admin staff are wonderful, the restaurant and bar staff are amazing as is the food too .We wish we could go for a lot longer holiday there , but are so looking forward to our return next year . It’s first class !

Stayed for 3 nights in later May 24 with our touring caravan. The site is situated on the banks of the river within a few hundred yards of the lovely village.The pool and bar area were very nice and I would recommend the site to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Loire Valley.
