What a perfect Campground! People were nice, the campground is beautiful, the restaurant was tasty and nice service, the pool with the castle behind it, the view that you can see from the restaurant, is spectacular! Wow! The showers are super hot in a great way, the service block has everything you could possibly need including sinks for washing clothes. This is definitely a Campground I hope to return to oh my next trip. Oh! Let me not forget the bread service that you can sign up the night before for fresh bread in the morning! So delicious! And the ladies at the front desk were very sweet. I love this Campground!

Great location near Saumur. Toilets and showers clean with lots of hot water. Site a bit packed in with pitches, permanent tents and mobile homes quite close together. It could do with some bins around the site and access to the river path via the gates(padlocked when we were there.Great little bar immediately left towards the river as you leave the site (old American bus)

This campsite is in a great location for visiting Saumur which is a lovely town. Pitches are ample and some have water and electricity nearby, not always on the actual pitch. There is a large swimming pool on site and a café/restaurant. I thought the reception staff were not that friendly - they weren't at all accommodating when I requested a change of pitch. I got the impression that they don't have to try too hard as the campsite is so well located. It is a good campsite, but with a bit more effort I think it could be terrific.

HiI stayed on a camping pitch. I’d booked the pitch direct with site in December 2023, asking for a services pitch by the river. I got a serviced muddy pitch not by the river. I do appreciate that it rains but the sparse grass has not been cut, hedges needed trimming and the pitch needed cleaning of corks, metal bottle tops, paper bags and cotton buds. Wouldn’t it be better for someone to check the pitch before it is let?The site is perfectly placed in Saumur, walking into the town, access to everywhere by foot. The facilities were clean and staff worked hard to maintain them, reception staff were friendly at booking in, was just let down by pitch management that could be do better. Have you ever thought of providing hard standing?

Good location for Saumur and cycle tracks; pretty 10 minute walk into the town along the Loire;nice shady pitches; lovely swimming pool with a fab view of the chateau; good facilities - small site shop/laundrette; toilets & showers were clean but partially closed due to maintenance which, having now read reviews from weeks ago is clearly an ongoing issue.Staff helpful but inexperienced - we weren’t given necessary information or wristbands. Wi-Fi didn’t work.Expensive for what you get compared to other sites that we have stayed at.
