CAMPING DE L'HIPPODROME

Lovely site located next to a beautiful town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Showers/toilets were spotless , swimming pool was very welcoming after a long day of driving. Playground and facilities were a hit with our young kids. We visited in our touring caravan and Google maps brought us in through the small town which was interesting so be careful which way you enter the site.

One of the nicest sites we have been on. Pitches very large, prices reasonable. Everywhere exceptionally clean. We rang up and booked and English spoken well. Playground, pool, kayak and bike hire and direct access to the river.

It's a campsite not a hotel. Best site we have visited on this trip. Good plots. Good facilities. Nice location.

Oh, I do love this site. Stayed here a few years ago when our kids were very small, and it was great then. Decided to give it a go again with our now 7 and 8 year olds, and it was just as good if not better! It's a municipal site, so don't expect the razzamataz of the big corporate sites. But it's equipped with a lovely swimming pool, a fantastic kids playground and a really nice and very clean toilet/shower block. It's a really quiet setting next to the horse racing track, and the pitches are very generously sized. Prices for pitching up are amazingly cheap! The staff are fantastic - eager to help, friendly and very efficient. They also seem to have a real pride in the fact that the site is municipal and therefore locally owned and run. Highly recommended!

Excellent campsite! Very inexpensive but with very good amenities including full toilet blocks/wash rooms, swimming pool, tv room and shop (with morning bread service). Highly recommend! Also very friendly and welcoming staff.
