Latest reviews for CAMPING YELLOH! VILLAGE LE PIN PARASOL
One of the cleanest and best maintained sites I've visited. The grounds are immaculate, staff friendly and welcoming. Entertainment is aimed at younger families but seemed well thought out and presented. The only thing not quite A rated was the food and the prices of the food at the restaurant and little takeaway. The wait was up to an hour and the food was a 6/10 at best. If you're more of a cook it yourself or visiting the local towns and villages for restaurants you won't be disappointed. Lovely part of France and again the campsite itself, on the whole was amazing and I can highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time in the Pin Parasol. Highly recommended. The staff were exceptionally friendly, particularly the security guard on Sensations who always gave us a friendly welcome on the rare occasions we left the site. The facilities and entertainment were excellent, particularly the Lion King and the Fire show. The children really enjoyed the kids club and the instructors spoke good English. We travelled with our own caravan and we found the touring facilities to be excellent. The toilets and showers were spotless.
2024 update. Liked it so much in 2022 we came back. Camped in a tent on one of the cheaper pitches which still have water and electricity. They've remodelled a lot of the Sensations bar and entertainment area. It looks great and works really well.We love this campsite, it has great facilities for kids and the pools are really good, something for all ages. Because it joins with Nature and Sens, you essentially get two campsites in one: Sensations is the kid friendly and cheaper side and Nature and Sens is the more boutique style side with a spa and a small adult only jacuzzi bit (but the beach entry style pool there is also popular with kids). You can travel freely between the two either walking, biking or with a shuttle kart. It's fairly remote (though not problematic with a car), while it is possible to bike around the local area the local villages are very quiet. If you are out for a family bike ride I'd suggest a small drive to the coast and picking up the Vendée Velo - a segregated bike route that goes up the coast (as well as various other places). There is however a lake very near where you can canoe and pedalo. We like to try different places as much as we can but have already come back once and can imagine doing so again as it's just so good for your kids.
This is a site I thoroughly recommend (not a phrase i use lightly) for both families and couples. There are two distinct sides to the site. Sensations, which is the older part of the site and has a bar and restaurant, a takeaway and entertainment. And Nature and Sans that is a newer extension, giving itself over to nature and relaxation. There are just too many facilities for me to name on both parts of the site. The toilet and shower blocks are excellent. There's a laundry and washing up area that includes a dishwasher to use for €2.As well as touring and camping, there is other accommodation available that's worth checking out.As far as I could see, everything is step free, making this site very wheelchair accessible as well as being great for cycling.Dogs are welcome here.We took the ferry from Portsmouth to Saint Malo. Towing our caravan, it took about 3.5 hours with a short stop.
In spending 16 days at Le Pin Parasol we found a place that:- welcomed us warmly from hour 1- was attentive to any family need- provided fantastic family entertainment (aged 6-45) with ample English speakers - perfect for the children. The entertainment crew were brilliant - you could see there was a real team bond and they were having an infectious level of fun- had immaculate facilities - wherever you went someone was cleaning- had a great onsite shop- was close to a number of amazing beaches and marketsWe've booked again for next year as it had almost everything we could look for.The only thing I would change was the food on offer. The snack restaurant is good quality but very limited... the moules night is brilliant - but it would be nice to have more speciality nights to have more French cuisine in the centre. The other restaurant is fine if you want a quiet meal away from the entertainment and are happy with a very limited choice. For us we'd have liked to have a family meal where the children and adults have something traditional, whilst the children have a choice to keep them happy.Minor issue but it would complete the package. Looking forward to our return next year. Wish we could have found all Le Pin Parasol team to thank them individually.
