Latest reviews for RCN LA FERME DU LATOIS
Lovely stay in a cabin. Nice big campsite with lots of accommodation variety. Family member stayed in safari tent which was awesome. Lots of cycling routes around.Good restaurant and bar on site.Fun pool with slides which the kids loved. Friendly staff. Lake in walking distance with canoes and pedalos to rent.Staff all speak multiple languages. We stayed end of season so it was quieter and it was lovely.
In early May this site was a peaceful haven. The pitches are marked and generous, although the grass is not cut on all of them. Bread is available every morning from 09.00 and the restaurant is open 5 nights a week. There are 4 facility blocks, although they are not fully open out of season. The lighting isn't brilliant in all of them and in one the showers were almost scaldingly hot! The walk to and around Lac du Jaunay from the site is good and you can make this as long or as short as you like. It is only around 1km to the shore of the Lake. There are cycle routes around the lanes, which are fairly quiet and some off-road cycle paths around the lake and nearby.
Friendly site in the Vendee. Quite windy, pitches a good site, and toilets were very clean. Lots of Dutch, as it is an RCN site, but they were all very friendly. Good beaches nearby, but they require a drive. Grande Defi is worth a visit (see my other review). Pool wasn’t massive, but perfect for kids and teens. Overall, very satisfied with such a friendly site.
Great campsite. Quiet, friendly, lovely set up. Very family friendly. Large pitches in a mature location with hedges and a wide variety of trees. 2 fishing lakes on site keep the biting insects low. Cycle and walking paths from the site. Only 20 mins drive to coast.
Good site with generous pitches and never feels crowded. Staff all very friendly and helpful, and they have flags on their name badges to indicate the languages they speak, although all of them speak good English.Lake on site for fishing and boats (mostly seems to be kids in inflatable canoes). Restaurant good but can be slow service. Pizzas also available (not tried).Plenty for younger kids to get involved with but the animation is not overly intrusive.Strong Dutch emphasis as you might expect with a Dutch company, although we never felt left out (being such a civilised nation, that shouldn't be a surprise!).My only slight criticism would be that at busy times you may have to wait for toilets and showers, but never usually for long.Highly recommended, but not especially 'French' - I think we'll be back.
