Latest reviews for CAMPING MUNICIPAL DE LA COURT
Well we did love it last year (2014)... So much that we booked again this year. But it's been closed by the Municipality so... now no holiday.
So many things are wrong with this campsite. Already, the emphasis has clearly been placed on rentals rather than free camping sites. If the first are pampered, the second are clearly left out: unused sites clearly deteriorating, placed on a slope and right next to children's activities (hello entertainment), open to the four winds, antediluvian toilet block (following a so-called breakdown of the mixer we were only able to take two really hot showers during our week of vacation!) cleaned sporadically... The rest of the campsite is not any better, with a swimming pool for children or garden gnomes of your choice (1.50m deep), "gastronomic" restaurant resembling more of a canteen (the food is good there, that said, at least as far as regional products are concerned), parking lot too small forcing us to park in spaces left vacant. Placed between a muddy beach and a highway (if you like to be lulled by the sound of cars), the campsite can boast of having all the amenities nearby, but you will have to take the car or bike to visit the region. This hardly seems to disturb the majority of customers, who are more inclined to visit the spa/hammam or the television room rather than explore the island. A perfect campsite for relaxed and wealthy holidaymakers, in short, everything I am not. Concerning the "five stars" of the place, after my stay I would say that it is more like three, which places it at the same level as the two-star campsites in Noirmoutier, cheaper and better located. Big personal disappointment, don't let yourself be fooled by the establishment's apparent good reputation.
The quality of the service is no longer up to par, damaged tent, sloppy cleaning, (quite surprising in fact!)Last remark for young pre-teens, difficult to establish holiday relationships because targeted customers in the Netherlands for more than 50%!In short, good but ''too expensive''
Ha ha what a strange campsite,,, car free only shouting from children and empty tents,,,, I was there years ago when (la sourderie) the campsite was called,it was pleasantly busy and you didn't get the impression that you were in a prison camp with all those locked gates and fences with codes,,,,,, even if you want to go to the beach you have to go through gates with codes to get there. ....ha ha ridiculous.... never come there again....Also very expensive for a municipal campsite....The so-called manager is a Dutchman who comes from the horse and does his work there on behalf of Mr Perrin (the previous owner of Camping Moulin).
Beautiful campsite in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. Friendly and helpful staff. Dutch speaking director who knows what service is. Ideal for children. recommended!
