Latest reviews for CAMPING LE PETIT BOOTH
We stayed one night in an old mobile home which unfortunately was very damp and not clean. Surfaces dusty and dirty. Many insects. Even crockery was dirty and had to be cleaned before use. Camping pods at the campsite looked to be in better condition.
Fabulous little campsite. We arrived intending to spend one or two nights, and extended our stay as it was such a relaxing and peaceful site. Owners Dominique and partner were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Located next to the Vendée river amongst trees and a pleasant river-side path, yet mosquitoes were not an issue (late August). Entertained by numerous red squirrels and hedgehogs. Facilities clean and satisfactory at all times, with a small but well-kept refreshing swimming pool on site. Ideally placed for our bicycle explorations around the Vendée/Charente area. Hope to return - many thanks to Dominique. Highly recommended if you value quiet relaxation.
We stayed at this camping 4 years ago (August 2014). I never met such friendly and concerned staff. This is what makes us love camping. We arrived at the camping site after a rainy day and the soil was soaked. We put up our tents at a spot that seemed relatively dry. But during the night it started raining again and the water really poored down. We decided to move our bags to the toilet room just to be sure since our campsite seemed like it was flooding. The next morning the camp site owner was extremly concerned about us and appologised for a situation that was absolutely not his fault at all. The weather was clear now and we spread out our tents and wet gear on the grass yard in front of the camping site. By noon everything was dry and we left for our next stop in the Marais de Poitevin. As we passed by again a few days later we decided to stay there again for one night. Allthough it stopped raining, some spots were still pretty wet. The owner recognised us and was still worried and insited that we took the key of his caravan 'just in case'. I never met a camping owner more engaged and concerned about his guest as at this camping. Even after 4 years we still smile at the tought of this super camping. We all remember these days as if they were yesterday. Thank you for making our holiday such a nice experience. I'd give 6 stars out of 5 if I could.
This is a nice well maintained site with flat green pitches. There is a swimming pool and owners are helpful and friendly. Unfortunately it is beside a river which is not flowing and the mosquitos ate us alive so we had to unfortunately leave.
If I could give 0 stars I would! Very unwelcoming. Asked a refund and left rather than stay in this less than idealic campsite. Would strongly advise you do not stay here and try everywhere elsewhere first!
