Latest reviews for CAMPING DU LAC DE LA CHAUSSELIÈRE
Great site set amongst stunning views. Was blessed with lake side pitch with views over the lake ... stunning. Facilities included showers (hot) hot pot washing, kids play area, HEATED and covered pool, gym, teenager's area (which at 58 didn't use 🤣🤣🤣) and a nice quiet site. Thank you to the couple who run this site, would highly recommend and will be back 😎😎😎 He even came down to help us off our pitch after 4 days of rain ... we would still be there otherwise 🤣🤣🤣
We had a 2 night stay on one of the camping pitches. This was a really large pitch, we didn't use most of the space. This is the first time we have taken our dog out of the UK and this was our first campsite on our journey. Booking online was easy, checkin was easy. My French is awful but we had no problems during our stay , the lady on reception spoke very good English ( thank you) and most of the staff spoke some , even those who didn't, it wasn't a big deal and we managed to communicate everything we needed, with ease. The site was very clean everywhere, the pool was nice, and the play area for the children was nice and very clean. We were able to sit with our dog in the outside restaurant area to eat and during the day we also sat there to be able to watch the children in the pool and be near to the dog, our children are a bit older you probably wouldn't be able to do that safely with younger children, both myself and my husband did occasionally take turns in sitting with the dog and getting in the pool. The area we sat was very open without much shade during the early afternoon , so we brought an umbrella to give the dog some shade so we could sit and watch together , this wasn't an issue. We didn't venture out of the campsite so I am not really sure of surrounding area. The lake adjacent to the site is a lovely walk and there is an additional play area for the children that is quite large. Fishing and watersports is also available on the lake.It was very quiet in the evenings and it was lovely to see the kids on their bikes riding round. I felt a few of the cars went a bit too fast, I would have been more concerned if my children were younger. The food was nice , just burgers and pizzas but very reasonably priced as were the drinks.I would definitely return and was disappointed we didn't have an extra few days.Very dog friendly, which was a big positive, our dog wasn't ever an issue.
Short one night stay with the small cabana, super clean and generous space, friendly, charming grounds and bonus of being able to have our dog with us. We will come back for a longer stay. Thank you!
Fabulous campsite on the edge of a beautiful lake. Around the lake is an easy walking path and a snack bar. However, the campsite also has a bar and snack bar. Pitches are well maintained and laid out, would certainly recommend. Campsite close to an ancient village.
Great campsite, run by lovely people. Wide variety of accommodation to stay in from bringing your own tent to a tree house!!Very chilled out and relaxing. Puy de Fou only 30mins drive away.
