Latest reviews for CAMPING DES ROUSSIÈRES
We have just spent 3 enjoyable nights here and would have stayed longer had we the time. It is a large site some 2 km outside Noirmoutier en ille. (7 min on the bike). We were offered a choice of pitches and had the weather been warmer our pitch would have been perfect being large with plenty of shade and high hedges to provide privacy. There are 4 modern shower/toilet blocks. The facilities were spotless but toilet paper ran out after the first day and there was no soap to wash hands so I would recommend that you take your own. Bread and croissant available to order from the on site shop. The pleasant restaurant sells reasonable pizza for France. We were able to hire bikes on site and enjoyed exploring the island which is very peaceful and pretty. There are some excellent beaches within walking distance. Noirmoutier is a lovely town with AA the essential shops and some nice cafes bars and restaurants. Noirmoutier is a working port and less touristy than some similar places along the coast. Despite it being the middle of July it was not crowded like the ile de re.The staff at reception were friendly courteous and efficient and patient with our rather pathetic efforts to speak French. They all spoke much better English than our french.I would not hesitate to recommend this website. It is ideal for couples or families with young children
Very nice campsite, nice pitches, clean facilities, friendly staff & nice restaurant, plus bakery service!Near to beaches and nice cycling routes
Really pretty campsite with fantastic pitches. The pitches have pines between them which give plenty of privacy. The little shop is sufficient and it’s a wonderful cycle into town to some fantastic independent shops and restaurants. The beach is also gorgeous and a short stroll from the campsite.Would recommend
Probably the best campsite on the island having cycled most of it and was unimpressed by what we saw as we passed other campsites. Very friendly and welcoming at reception. Choice of many spacious pitches all offering privacy with high hedges. Beach only 250m away, access via campsite gate. Close to cycle path. Facilities clean. What's not to like? Highly recommended!
Absolute gem of a campsite.Great location (250 meters from the beach - it really is)!Great sized pitches.Toilets were always spotless.Onsite Bar & Restaurant if required, but not in your face, (there if you need a change, take away pizzas available too if you want a break).Lady on reception was very, very friendly & helpful, especially understanding of my poor language skills.Bread / croissants etc available daily from reception.Could not ask for more.We will certainly be back and have already recommended to others and will continue to do so.4 night stay mid September in a Motor home with 2 adults and 1 dog.
