Latest reviews for YELLOH! VILLAGE DOMAINE DE L'ORÉE
Well placed site with great connections to the locality and excellent cycle ways.Staff and facilities all good but let down by poor grounds keeping with little of no grass or hedge cutting on site.
I would say it was mediocre at best. You had to cross a main road if you in the premium cabins or anywhere on that pitch to get to the pools and reception area. Although the shop lady was lovely, the selection in the shop wasn't great. The reception staff told our friends that if they wanted to leave early on the day of their checkout that they would have to sleep in the car park overnight. The security guard told them the gate just lifts automatically on the way out, it's only on the way in it will open during certain times. They clearly need a bit more training! Albeit, it was 7.30pm and the pool closes at 7.30pm. the lifeguard wouldn't let two children up for one last slide even though we were the only people left in the pool. He could have let them up for one last slide and then put the chain across the steps, but nope, no budging!!! There were two lovely bar staff working there. The rest definitely needed more customer training. One of the bar managers was a horrible ignorant man. He definitely needs to get the boot!!! Overall it was grand. It wasn't one of the best, but it wasn't one of the worst. If you're happy with mediocre service, non-existent night entertainment and dirty toilets, then this place is for you. If not, then avoid!!!
Great campsite, great size, not too big, not too small. The staff is very friendly, from the bar staff, to the manager, to the “animation” manager (shout out to Maxime, great guy). The campsite itself feels very organic, loads of trees and sand and not a lot of concrete. Easy access to the forest and kms of walks in the forest and the dunes. Also: good playground and sports facilities. I strongly recommend it!
Extremely helpful & friendly staff. We ate at the on site restaurant the first evening we arrived but it was really poor service & food. It took 40 mins for someone to come take our order. To me it looked like they were under staffed and we were told some basic options like pizza wasn’t available as the had run out. When the food did arrive it was poor. Chips were greasy and overcooked. We made a decision that evening that we wouldn’t eat at the restaurant again. We were so disappointed at the lack of activities & involvement by on site staff for english speakers. Everything was catered towards the French & no activity or fun events were catered for english speaking tourists.I met another Irish family on the campsite from Dublin & their experience was the same. They said they wouldn’t return.Pity as the campsite itself is simple, clean & friendly but no involvement or effort dedicated to english speaking families. The nearest beach is a 35min walk so be prepared for a little hike. If the tide is on its way out or out you can’t swim there as it’s all rocks. So I wouldn’t be returning based on my experience.
Great place amazing staff and perfect locationSome Accommodation dated and not clean
