CAMPING BAHAMAS BEACH

We visited at the beginning of the season (early July) and stayed in a mobile home (P7). The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and pragmatic. The mobil home was in very good condition and very clean. You can walk direct to the beach out the back of the site but it's further than it looks on a map because you need to walk along a bit to cross the bridge over the river and then the path through the sand dunes isn't direct. This is great if you want a nice walk, but less great if you're carrying surfboards and just want to get to the beach as fast as possible!

Excellent well kept quiet site, mainly holiday homes, but caravan and motorhome pitches are large and really tidy, with hedge and shrub boarders, short walk to the beach, via a gate from the site, clean shower and toilet block, large swimming pool, really pleased we stayed

Stayed for the second time in two years in our motor home. This time in July when there was more going on, especially during the day time and in the evening when there was a wide range of entertainment for all ages. As always, very welcoming with ultra clean facilities. We will be back in 2024. This year we brought our bikes and had some very enjoyable rides along the river into the Port.Ann and Allan from Poole, England.

Really happy that this campsite has lived up to expectations. Lovely welcome and offered the opportunity to choose our own pitch. The pitches are large and hedge lined offering privacy and shade from well place trees (depending on the time of day!). The showers and loo blocks are immaculate and modern. Large shower cubicle, big enough for kids as well as you (if you have them). The cleaning routine in these troubled times is excellent. The site has direct access to the cycle path taking you to the beach, St Gilles itself or further. The nearest access to the beach is about 800m away down the cycle path. The campsite has a good sized pool and in season a bar and takeaway. For those into boules, there are nightly gathering of teams at the squares. Loved this place. Will definitely be back.

Amazing place and super friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble to make your stay fab. We camped on a standard pitch and had plenty of room for our 5m Bell with large awning. Facilities are clean and never busy and the summer entertainment program was a great bonus. Easy walk to the Beach 10 mins (dogs allowed) cycle path on the doorstep to venture accross the Vendee but ultimately everything on site that you require with large supermarkets within 5 mins drive. Would I return? You bet ya it was fantastic ❤️
