CAMPING LES PLACES DORÉES

Location and facilities great - but not ideal for English families.We stayed with our touring caravan at this location. Unfortunately our pitch was tucked in a corner (thank god for a motor mover!) and it was mainly sand so this wasn’t fun constantly trying to keep the sand out the caravan with young kids. Not all the pitches seemed like this though, the majority of the site is static caravans.The kids enjoyed the swimming pool area, although my son got a sickness bug from the indoor pool. We managed to get sun loungers by going early as they get taken up if not. The splash area is nice for the little children.Kids enjoyed the play park too and the sports areas. They also had fun riding their bikes and scooters around the site.Toilets were clean and the showers good. Although they seem to close them at 5pm for cleaning and this was when people wanted to shower after a pool or beach day for the evening.Unfortunately the staff do not speak much English at all, my kids wanted to do the activities but found it not accessible because of that. We tried to join in a quiz one evening with one staff member translating but then she just gave up and we couldn’t understand what was happening.The same for the restaurant staff and reception. Very limited English and appeared unhelpful when trying to order and ask about things.Nice to order the pasties for the morning although limited items.We had a nice holiday but definitely wouldn’t return or recommend for an English family

Brilliant family holiday Lovely site, brilliant pool, good location. The only issue for us was the language barrier with very few of the staff being able to speak English and our limited French but overall we had a fantastic holiday. The facilities were really good and being able to order fresh bread and pastries every morning was a win for us.

The campsite is very nice, cozy and very quiet. Pleasant and comfortable place to relax, with lots of pools and fun games for children. The service was on a level with many nice and responsive people. Thank you very much for the good service, and we hope to be back soon!!!

This is a lovely clean campsite with very friendly staff. The restaurant has very good quality food the couple who run the restaurant are excellent creating a lovely atmosphere. Our mobile home was very spacious but had no bbq no kettle and no oven and no means of even lighting the gas hob so we had to buy everything the shower was terrible we ended up ùsingthe public ones as nobody every came to fix it. The most disappointing part was with our vacansoliel rep we never even met the person. We have been going on campsite holidays for several years mainly through canvas who it has to be said look after their customers very well. So in conclusion this campsite is lovely vacansoliel very poor

Lovely campsite with fantastic pools and slides. Everything was clean and great. Meal at the on site cafe was very good.
