TOHAPI LOYADA

Spent a great 10-day holiday with friends in the friendly yet well maintained 4-star Loyada Tohapi camping in a mobile home accommodation at Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, nearby Les Sables d’Olonne in the north western part of France.Nearby there are the Aquarium of Vendée and the beautiful and well preserved and natural beach of Veillon as well as the small seaport of Bourgenay.We really enjoyed the camping facilities which included a shop, a bar, a restaurant and an aquatic park with toboggans and swimming pools.We rented from the camping friendly staff affordable bicycles for the whole duration of our stay so we can discover easily the surroundings of the camping.

A really pleasant small site. The placement we had was in a very cold spot, and even on very warm sunny days, we had to move away from the decking to feel warm.

A really good site with a decent pool area. Nice bar with tables overlooking the pool .Good take away but no restaurant although you can take the food into the bar. Mobile home was great and the air con very welcome ( temp in the 30 's ). In easy reach of a lot of local beaches and sites of interest.

Great campsite on the vendee. small but with all you need onsite, with local amenities a short bike ride away. Great to visit la Rochelle, les sables and enough bars and restaurants in the local area. Bike hire available at reception. Enjoyed it so much we are going back in August. Great friendly campsite Team with children's entertainment, and lovely relaxing swimming pool complex . Perfect⁹

During my stay, I paid a deposit of €500 to rent 4 bikes. I was assured this would not actually be deducted from my credit card, but it was. I spoke to reception on 27/07/19, and they apologised for the error. I provided them with evidence that the amount was deducted and not refunded, and was assured that the money would be refunded. A week later I sent an email to ask when I would have the refund, and had a reply to say they would sort it out for me. Since then, I have emailed 4 times and had no response, and also submitted a request on their website and still not had a response. It is nearly 3 weeks since I originally made them aware of the problem.Although the staff on site were helpful in person, I think ignoring emails and requests for information is a really poor way to treat a customer. I understand that mistakes happen, but this problem would really put me off staying with them in future, as I feel like I could not trust them again. I hope this review encourages them to reach out to me and pay me the refund, but I am upset that they could not even respond to me with a timeline of when I could expect the money.I would warn people looking to book here to really consider that using their card on site is a risk, because if a mistake is made, it will take a long time to solve and might not even be solved at all.
