Latest reviews for CAMPING L'ETRUYÈRE
Stayed three nights here on a nice sized, freshly mown camping pitch.Place is well run by a very friendly dutch couple who can give good recommendations for activities in the area.Camping is very quiet and situated by a scenic lake (half an hour to do the pleasant walk circuiting the lake).
We stayed in one of their chalets for 3 weeks in Sep '23. It was the most relaxing hol we have ever had. A small, tranquil, peaceful site that does NOT allow dogs - the only campsite we have ever come across that bucks the trend AND most welcome too!Leonoor and Arno are wonderful hosts and genuinely lovely people. We will definitely go back. The site overlooks a large lake surrounded by woodland, a picturesque spot. Going in September was a perfect time to have the site almost to ourselves. If you want a stress free holiday with lovely quiet surroundings - this is IT!Lesley & Mario from Devon UK
Husband and wife owner are very friendly , can't do enough to make you feel welcome. Site is very clean, tidy, peaceful and comfortable. They have a good selection of local beer in bottles and on draught and a selection of nice wines. The evening menu is nice and filling. The pool looks very inviting but didn't bring swimming clothes. There is s large lake on site and tickets can be purchased at the bar.We will definitely be returning later in the year. Thanks for a lovely stay.
This is a lovely location, the site has designated pitches,a brilliant bar area as it's next to the pool with indoor and outdoor seating ,you can fish on the river ..Toilets and showers are mixed, washing machines are also located here ..Great host and one of the best milky coffee I've had ..The cycle ride into the village is a bit dangerous and steep and about 2 miles away on the main road, so I would recommend that you go through the built up area. The supermarket and banks are also located here
Drove many miles to get here hoping to stay three nights. Just drove into car park to check in and met by the owners, first thing they said "You can't park here " When we said that we had come to stay then told we are not welcome No Dogs allowed. I saw no mention of that on any reviews I had read before travelling or on the when looking on the Website? It should be stated clearly to avoid a wasted journey. We had never experienced this before on any Camping Site in all our travels through Europe .
