We had a 2 night stay here in our Motorhome in September. Our pitch was a mud bath - zero grass and impossible to sit out in the evenings. The toilet and shower block was very tired and had a residue of water and mud over the entire floor all of the time making its use unpleasant. While the site is well located for the City, this is without doubt the worst site we have encountered on our 3 week trip to France. We came to support a friend in the European Trialthlon Championships and won't be back. The ACSI site next door must be a better bet.
Family friendly site with great location. Toilets seemed a little dated and generally a little lacking the wow factor of 4 stars rating. Bar was nice and plenty of eateries within a couple of minutes walk of the site
We visited the site in August. It had a lovely vibe. Pitches were a lovely size and very private. Kids loved the pool and the slide. Lovely riverside walks. Men and women's toilets were separate with shared shower cubicles, all kept very clean. One night there was a film projected onto a screen which the kids loved, they still enjoyed the atmosphere even if they couldn't understand it! They enjoyed the parks and the freedom.
Asked for a shady pitch when booking online. Didn't get one. Half of our pitch is a thoroughfare to the pool. Asked to move, they weren't interested. Walked round this evening and saw other empty shaded pitches. The pool is nice, but reception don't seem interested in guest needs. Two nights OK, but we won't be back. The aire just down the way is better for €12 a night.
Swimming pool would have been a nice escape from the heat apart from a large group of adults arrived at 5pm and thought it highly amusing to jump into the pool and splash everyone in the vicinity. Then subsequently be more audible than was appropriate or required. Not sure if residents or staff but should have been advised behaviour not appropriate or conducive to the pleasure of other guests.
