Latest reviews for CAMPING DE LA VALLÉE DU DOUX
We arrived on a very hot day by bike with a two year old and were sent away in a very unfriendly manner. The owner refused to accept us because we were travelling between campings, because of covid. We could have happily presented her our pass sanitaire and or proof of full vaccination, but she didn’t want to see it at all. The way she treated us was appalling, as if we were behaving very irresponsibla to even ask to stay there. The camping wasn’t fully booked when we arrived.
Had a great couple of nights thereSmall and Basic Camping in a beautiful locationVery sweet People running the Place. I think their mindset sets the vibe for all visitors.Bathrooms are tidy but bring your Own toiletpaperPretty much mixed bathrooms (separate cabins of course but no gender specifity)Every week there is 1 or 2 Special Nights with Music/karaoke and Paella for anyone who signsUp and a few locals bring honey, pastry, crafted stuff and herbes (no Not those) and make up a small marketAnyone who isnt tied to ‚glamping’ can have a great time there6/5! Would Go there again every time
Very cute and friendly campsite, however the managers were absolutely not fair and pleasant, we clearly had the impression that Madame was addressing us as if it was not possible to communicate by just showing us the direction of the exit because we had not vacated the location in time. Very unfortunate not to be able to keep the cool spirit of the campsite and especially to throw us away like trash once they no longer have anything to get from us. However, the welcome was so warm when we went to buy pizzas from them. Enough to ask questions. The location from which Madam kicked us out very forcefully is still vacant to this day. Excuse us for staying 2 hours longer, really. 🌼
The mobile home we rented was not in good condition. Other mobile homes seemed more recent on the website but we were not going to reserve a bungalow for 6 when there were 3 of us. Furthermore, it is not a question of age, but more a lack of small repairs. 'interview. The snack bar seemed like a nice and friendly place according to the comments, but we did not see it open during the 3 days of our stay.As for the mini golf course advertised on their website, don't count on it, it is overgrown with weeds.A shame because the setting is very pleasant and the direct access to the river is appreciable. However, be careful if you have young children because there is no security to access the river. Please note that the pitches are well maintained.Hoping that these remarks will be useful to you for your future tenants
While passing through the region, we stopped for a bite to eat in the campsite's restaurant. It was the best idea of our two weeks of vacation because we met Alain and Joséphine, two wonderful people with huge hearts. It only took 2 evenings in their presence for my wife, my children and I to keep them forever in a corner of our hearts.Would not change a thing . You are great. THANKS(Ps: we ate very well)
