CAMPING LE MOULIN DE GOURNIER

This is one of my favourite campings ever. The camping terrain is very nice and small, the people that this camping attracts are very nice, and the people that work on the camping/the owner(s) are very open and kind. I would love to go back one time, maybe with a car instead of hitchhiking so we can explore the surrounding more easily. Though also without a car we had enough to keep us busy; lots of swimming in the river to which our campsite was connected, eating out at the little restaurant on the camping at which they serve very nice vegetarian food, playing jeux de boules, etc.

This place is a slice of heaven, peace and magic! The nature along the river is something out of a fairytale and it's all there to explore for the guest. You can walk up or down the river and play in the many pools, build dams and sit on a the edge listening to the gurgling of the water moving through rocks and the gentle breeze in the trees. The facilities are all functioning and clean. We loved cooking next to our tent and enjoying the comforting trees and glistening water while we ate. Mesmerised in the moment, this place is the ultimate come-down, retreat from daily-life, where just 'being' is enough. The owners are wonderfully friendly and even have a restaurant with cosy lights and a delicious home cooked, organic, local and seasonal menu that changes daily and nearly made me cry. It was so delicious. I am so grateful that places like this still exist on the planet, they are a gem and I couldn't recommend this place any more! Enjoy!
