Latest reviews for CAMPING LE RHONE (EX CAMPING DE TOURNON)
Good campsite, on the river Rhone. Not a cheapo one.Excellent (new) services.Nice swimmingpool.Probably because of the bad weather, but the campsite was a bit messy.Needs a bit more maintanance.
If you want peace and quiet don’t stay here, lots of noise from the site during the French school holidays when we visited unfortunately and the road behind it had rowdy people late at night walking by.The reception staff were excellent and spoke excellent English as we had to move to avoid a constantly barking dog from one of the visitors, great location for the bars and restaurants and stunning views of the Rhone and it’s beautiful medieval buildings, if you want to visit here.
Very central, great shower blocks (new, well designed, very clean). Some pitches are really small but the reception will move you upon availablity. If you don´t have a reservation, arrive before 16:00 - it was full after that every night we stayed there.
We stayed at this site 12/13 Aug in our motor home great pitch with a view of the river. Facilities immaculate and pool was a great bonus very clean. Lots of things to do and see 2 mins from town. Owners went out of their way to help, I had a bit of an accident and Sebastian could not have been more helpful even drove us to the hospital!! Amazing.
Great little campsite. Friendly check-in. Good clean showers - unisex toilet block (over winter?) which had the benefit of being heated during our December visit.A lovely walk along the river to the Chocolate Museum. Nice bars/restaurants nearby. Good bakery one minute's walk away too.We could only stay one night but would love to go back and see what else the town had to offer.
