Latest reviews for CAMPING CHANTE-MERLE
A good campsite which was open when most of the campsites around were closed close to the main motorway (3mile) All the services worked and was peaceful and quiet at night. A small village with a bakery a short walk away. And a pool on site for the summer. We stayed the night on the way to Spain and on the way back a great find.
Friendly reception. Entry through the barrier after payment; exit automatically after 7:30am. Nice location for a stopover because close to the A7. Big shopping center nearby at Tain-l'Hermitage. Showers and toilets in a heated area, and clean. Thanks to the camping management for staying open in the winter season!
We have been using this site for many years on our way to, and from, Spain. The family that own it are always helpful and happy. We highly recommend the restaurant as the food is always delicious. We will be visiting again in a few weeks and it's always a highlight of our journey.
A pleasant site with clean facilities. Bonus points for being open all year. We spent one night there as a stopover, the only drawback was a constant noise from the nearby motorway. Not very loud, but always present. It was far enough away to be just background.
The site is run by 2 of the most miserable people I have ever met they have no idea how to treat people we came to a wedding which they tried to ruin. I was in a wheelchair and had to park outside the campsite also residents locked out after 10pm. Silence is ordered after 10pm and if you have visitors they charge them . It was like staying in a prison. They certainly do not know the meaning of pleasant or smile would help so not recommend it if you plan to have a relaxed happy holiday
