CAMPING HUTTOPIA ROYAT

There is a nice reception with a small selection of things to eat and drink.There is also a nice bar which served pizzas but I didn’t look at the menu so they might serve other things.For a site of this size it does well to make it feel like you’re in nature and not too busy.The pitches are tucked under trees and into groves.A family-oriented site with a good play area and pool.All of the kids were tucked up by 22:00 and everywhere was quiet.

In terms of price-quality, we have found this camping moderate. It is clean and well maintained, and the staff has been really friendly. But we found there is not that much atmosphere and the little pool is often overcrowded. We like the fact that there is no airconditioning in the caravans, as they are very polluting and thus not according to Huttopia's DNA. But fly screens instead would be no big luxury, give the price.

We booked a motorhome pitch for three nights via the website. On arrival, the receptionist was very welcoming and pointed out suitable pitches for the size of our van. The facilities were kept very clean.We like Huttopia sites as we know they are of good quality.

I've stayed on a few Huttopia sites and they never fail to satisfy my soul. Huttopia Royat is just outside the town bit feels miles away.It is definitely on my revisit list.

The campsite facilities were very clean, staff friendly and location near the Puy de Dome. Pool was quite small for high season but would be perfect when less busy and it is a hilly location but still walkable to Clermont Ferrrant.
