Latest reviews for CAMPING SANDAYA CHÂTEAU DES MARAIS
Lovely and helpful staff, some with v good English. Kids loved the swimming pool with slides and we were delighted at how warm it was heated to as air temps were generally below 25 when we were there in early July. We hired bikes one day and really enjoyed exploring the local area on bike. My only negative is that we didn't find that much to do in the area besides the chateaus... But we still had a wonderful time as the site was so lovely.
It is a nice camping with friendly personel. Chambord castle nearby and beautiful. The camping pitch however was a disaster. 3 inches of mud and water. Everything is wet and muddy. Looked like a survival contest. We left 3 days early after two days, no refund.Never again.
Holidaying with extended family, 27 in total. Each group had their own accommodation from tents to chalets.Huge pool area for the kids (and adults). The grounds are spacious and well shaded by trees.
I’ve stayed at this site several times over the years and it’s a great site very clean fantastic on site shop and very friendly staff lots going on in the evenings , food at all the outlets on site were great can’tWait to come back in 2024 , the littleLake also was great for a bit of fishing for the children , nice walk to the Loire where there are some great food and drink shacks wouldDefinitely recommend this site .local zoo and kangaroo sanctuary and golf were also nice to visit about an hour away near angers , the weather was hot and sunny as always ,cabins were spotless and very comfortable
We had a good stay overall, there are some minor issues that the campsite could look in to improving like the below :- BAR (overcrowded, overpriced drinks made in the worst fashion making them undrinkable sometimes, no attention to Euro's games , music at the bar was rave music not adequate for the space, drinks were served in real glass with the pool just a few meters away with kids running barefoot and we heard glasses breaking quite some times, overall a poor experience with the bar not even close with the rest of the campsite , we had to find other places for afternoon drinks relaxation .- Food Shack was an absolute mess, one person running the place, did her best, always busy taking orders, preparing orders , food quality was poor and very expensive , 20 Euros for a peperoni premade pizza and some chips- Pool is closing 1h everyday , quite an inconvenient some time, no drinks allowed at the pool with no easy access to the bar i
