My wife and I stopped over for 2 nights whilst travelling to La Rochelle. The site is 3km to a beautiful beach and small village of St George's. The reception at Le Transat opens between 3pm and 7pm. There's only one receptionist on so be prepared to wait. I found with my limited french and the receptionist's limited English it was quite funny to say the least , however, we got it sorted. My pitch was a reasonable size however with a 8.5m motorhome access can be difficult to some of these pitches.The usual facilities are very clean with maintenance staff always seen working. The free WiFi worked extremely well! There's a pool, restaurant, laundry all of which are maintained to a high standard. If required you may order croissants etc for the next morning. I got a surprise on my first morning with a free croissant delivered to my motorhome. I thought that was a lovely gesture.Quite a pleasant site and very quiet at night.Ps..If you enjoy horse riding on the beach or trails there's an equestrian centre 2 km from the site.I highly recommended Camping Le Transat. 5 stars 👍

Very nice experience in this family campsite. The owners and the entire team are particularly attentive and available for your comfort. Many activities are offered, our little girls loved it. Tranquility assured. Recommended+++

We rented a mobile home with our family. The caravan was very recent and neat. The staff is friendly. Our children enjoyed the pool and mini golf. The campsite is well located to discover the island.

The mobile home was in impeccable condition when we arrived. It is very functional and comfortable. It was a real haven of peace that we were happy to return to every evening
