EN CAMPAGNE (CAMPING & GÎTES)

Great little campsite with lovely owners. Pre ordered bread delivered each morning. Well placed for visiting Oradour sur Glane.

This is an excellent small campsite , with mixture of well shaded and sunny pitches most quite large and thus spaces between units more than adequate.Toilets and showers very clean with plenty of hot water.Nice above ground pool in secluded garden area with sunny and shady spotswhat really makes this place is current owners Alex and Hester who went out of their way to be helpful with particular attention to my wife's dietary needs and requirement to eat Gluten free..Simple evening meals were available and owners made sure guests seated so not left out. Mainly dutch visitors when we were there but we were made very welcome by them .We had booked , with very quick email response , for couple of nights to chill on journey south and stayed an extra day also stayed on way home north as location suited our journey and we had enjoyed previous stay so much even though alt options are available . Owners are changing at end of this season so hopefully new incumbents will maintain warm welcome and good luck Alex and Hester and dogs in Portugal

Excellent campsite with very welcoming hosts (dutch but speak lots of languages). Beautiful spacious semi-wooded pitches. Very well maintained. Pizza night on a Wednesday was a treat, especially as we had not booked and we arrived at six, the pizzas are home made and cooked in their own wood fired oven. Not a bikers site, but they were most welcoming to us on Bikes! Happy to recommend this site and I would use again on my travels.

Alex and Hester are very welcoming owners with helpful information on the local sites which are all closeby. Pitches are very large and private with well maintained hedges and beautifully planted gardens. The outside bar is a comfy area for a lovely cold beer with a food wagon and pizza oven. There is a pool along with communal fire pit. Pet friendly with a gate to access a walking lane at the end of site. One of the best campsites we've stayed in.
