Latest reviews for CAMPING LE VIEUX PORT
Good - Amazing site with lots of amenities. Brilliant for families, the pools and water slides are lots of fun. Food is good. The staff are friendly and the kids club is brilliant.Bad - On our last night there was a festival on site that we didn't know about and the music and noise went on till past midnight. Not impressed that we were not informed beforehand, as it was very loud - we were on the other side of the park and could clearly hear everything.
Closing times are too early: reception, the supermarket, the pool... They don't provide with bed sheets (unless you pay 19 euros for them), only one toilet roll for 8 people, Internet not working... Not a basin in the loo no matter how small the bungalow is. It should have a little basin at least with a little mirror. Not a mop or a bucket to wash the floor ourselves. The pool area is very nice but it's compulsory to wear lycra swimsuits. You don't need one in any of the countries I've been to.
A nice camping with all kind of services and also a nice location. However people who want to come here for relaxing and recharging batteries can better NOT come here. From 22.00 to 7.00 the camping should be quiet however that is not the case. Parties and loud noices are always around and there are no checks for this. People can just do what they want. Also hen you go to security, relactendly they will check once, however that is it.They state to be a five star camping, however that will only be for the services they have here, however not for the overall experience. We will definitely never come here again!!People who want to recharge, please search for another camping.
Would our family of 5 come here again? We would it's good enough for the may pricing with eurocamp. What could have been better?, knowing we needed lycra swim trunks instead of perfectly good Speedo shorts - a silly rule with a shop conveniently on site that solved the man made problem for an unexpected 90 extra euros. Our trip only had disco on the first night, every other night had nothing provided for resort entertainment, except this lady night when some company regent is happening and suddenly all the holiday makers had to get out of the pool early with an hour notice which annoyed everyone except the 1300 private party people that reduced families already here to second class citizens. There are so many types of accommodation and eurocamp doesn't provide the top level jacuzzi and private pool ones which we will be looking for next time. The SPAR is a complete rip off, casino 0.6 miles away is way better and 6km away the l'eclerc is gigantic and has absolutely everything you need.
Really great facilities - fantastic pool complex - camping spots were great. Staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. BUT campsite is loud. Very loud. The entertainment in the arena goes on until midnight and the sound from it is blasted across the campsite. Then there is thumping bass (not sure where it was coming from) until around 2am. Made sleep for a young child (and their parents!) very difficult.
