Latest reviews for CAMPING LA VALLEE DE GARDELEAU
Enjoying simplicity at its finest, we relished enormous, delightful pizzas at their restaurant. It was a pleasure to meet the management team and share smiles with our Chinese star, ZeuZeu. A cozy, memorable dining experience!
Fantastic, quiet atmosphere at this campsite. Laurent and his wife personally make sure everyone feels right at home. The food in the Auberge at the campsite is good and homemade and they even deliver bread to the pitches in the morning! Spacious, shadow-covered pitches. Great views over the sunflowers, and all amenities in good shape.
Our first time here. Food was delicious. we were a party of 12 and felt there could have been more or bigger portions as most dishes were served on a normal dinner plate so when 12 people were taking a spoon full it didn't go round everyone. would be good if we were told what each dish was as we ate outside and when it's almost dark we didn't know what the dishes were. other than that we will definitely return but perhaps in a smaller group.
We have returned to Gardeleau year after year and love it's relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful country setting. Laurent and Cathy are the best of hosts and provide excellent food at the Auberge catering for all tastes. Wake up to the birdsong from the woods (Maybe a response from the donkey) and enjoy fresh bread and pastries which you can order the day before.
We have visited this campsite 4 times now as a family. The owners, Laurent and Cathy, are very welcoming and friendly, and the food they provide at the auberge is always very tasty, most sourced from local produce, and is very reasonably priced. The setting is very peaceful, and the tree canopy provides much needed shade in the height of summer! There are plenty of distractions to keep children occupied, e.g. bikes, a swimming pool, table tennis, table football, badminton/volleyball nets. Just remember to pack the "mozzie" spray.
