Latest reviews for CAMPING LE TERRIER
Nice little campsite, reasonable price. Long walk from our pitch to the shower block but the showers were excellent, hot water and lots of pressure and lovely and clean. Pool was closed but my mate still had a swim! Barbecue areas close to every pitch, we had one using charcoal left around the BBQ. Lovely steaks from the local Lidl eaten in the twilight! Friendly cats around the site. Regular big military flights overhead, C130s I think.
This place is really nice in many ways. The pool wasn't open when we were heare as it wasn't opening until June, it was having it's clean though so it was definitely going to open.A big downside fir me was that they let people in to camp at any time so we were woken up at 1am with people pitching, noisely, very close to us.The other thing to bear in mind is that this is a children's paradise so expect very excited children playing until dark (maybe beyond) and from light, they were running wild and it all looked so much fun. If you are not a fan of the sound of children playing, shouting, and running about then maybe think twice. The pitches are plenty big enough and had hedges between each one, many had mature trees for shading. The block of washrooms in the centre of the park are in need of some tlc but the ones near the main entranceoiked, from the outside, very much more modern.WiFi by reception and poorly on the snack bar.Talking of snack bar this is the highlight, really really good pizza and nice choice (limited) of wine and beer. Well worth staying just for this! No ice cream unfortunately as we were still considered out of season (27th may) which was a shame as it was a super hot day.We cycled into the town, all off road, but if you want to drive it's very close by.Set on a busy road, you can get away from the noise of it by going further into the camp.
Apart from the rain, this site has everything you need and is amazing value. Lots of hot water, shower block, washing up facilities, along with a pool and bar. We've stayed here twice. A great stopover! Friendly staff, English spoken, if you stumble through French like us. 😊
Nice campsite, friendly owner was still around late at night when I arrived. Bar available with small snacks and drinks. Sanitary clean and well maintained. Pitches for hikers are very large, you can choose where to put up your tent.
Nice & handy off the autoroute, very friendly staff , simple but delicious burger & chips , nicely cooked , Happy Happy
