Beautiful location exceeded my expectations! From the moment I popped into the welcoming reception. I was greeted with a smile and an extra smile at my attempt at speaking French. I recommend this lovely French ran campsite with access to so much. Its a shame we had other plans as we were considering trying to extend our stay. Children loved it Age 11 and 9, and enjoyed the dip in the cool pool as well as making French friends on foot and bikes (provided) although they do need servicing as not all had working brakes but we noticed and explained this to our children. Felt such a safe environment, closed to public vehicles through a pin entry system. Situation at the side of a rushing river which has a small path at the side. Local town with a boulangerie and other shops. It was the perfect escape from the usual club type places and seems popular amongst French holiday makers, which we absolutely loved! Thank you for your excellent customer services! When we arrived with our Air tent we were concerned about low ha ginger branches and you came along and allowed us to cut this, making our stay worry free! Thanks again! A safe, warm feel to the site and I wholeheartedly recommend!!
Unfortunately cold showers! Mid-September, on a cool day lukewarm. We packed and were heading out immediately, but lady manning the campsite promised to sort it. It got warmer at first, but by the time my partner went in, it was cold again. Looks nice for the height of season maybe. But I still would still like hot shower with temperature adjustment.
A lovely campsite on the river looking at the Pyrenees foothills peaceful friendly well priced. A lovely place to be - it's a long way from England but I'm sure we will be back.😊
The owners are the best hosts you can wish for. They will make you enthousiastic for all the great things you can do both on the campsite and in the area. The facilities might not always be in tip-top condition (we would have liked some kind of temperature control at the showers), but most of the tons of facilities serve their purpose very well. Enjoy the Bètharram caves, rafting or canooing right from the camp ground, a tennis court and fullsize soccer field, and great walks in the Pyrenees. And not to be forgotten: the lounge bar with fresh music and food. You'll soon love this place, especially because of the lovely hosts.
We stayed here in our caravan for 5 nights.it was quiet so we had the pick of the pitches so we chose one next to the river. The river that was raging the whole time we were there. You can't go in the river as it is so fast flowing. The site was ok. The shower block was basic only the female toilets were open to be used something my wife found quite uneasy as there were mainly male campers on site at the same time as us.The shower blocks were quite cold. The water took 3 days to get to a decent heat for a decent shower.Because the door to the showers was wedged open there were all manners of bugs walking around which put my children off using them.We loved the full size football pitch that the site goes around. We loved the location and some great historical sites very close. Lourdes is only 8 miles away. One night we visited the night procession in Lourdes and on return st 2225 hours the gate was locked with a padlock. I rang the numbers that were advertised at reception but got no response until 1 hour later and was told to leave my car off site and walk in.I appreciate rules are rules and the camp has a 2200 gate lock policy but my thoughts were what if we needed to get off site in an emergency or needed an ambulance on site. The owners do not live on site and apparently they are on call 24/7 ???.The above happened on the last day hence only 4 stars. I did talk to the owners about the locked gate but it seemed to be ignored for respect of other campers.Nice site. Pool was closed and did not look like it does in the picture.looked quite small. One washing machine and one dryer at 4 euros each.WiFi available at a wooden hut.It seems the 2 owners are doing everything by themselves.
