CAMPING SANDAYA ÎLE DES PAPES

Absolutely wonderful camp site, we will be sure to come again!We booked a friends cottage which i can absolutely recommend to people traveling with friends. You have your own living space if you need some me-time, but you can live together too.The only remark i would make to the accomodation is that the terrace of the friends cottage is not baby/toddler friendly. We could not leave the toddler to play on the terrace without anyone being present with him, because there were so many corners he could fall off of.That being said we would definitely book this accomodation again. Great value, amazing quality, super friendly and helpful staff, wonderful camp site and wonderful location.One remark for people considering vacationing in the Provence: don't forget about the Cicadas, they sing all day long!

We stayed in this lovely 😍 campsight for 7 days. We enjoyed it a lot but we found the enormity of the Dutch camper clubs robbed the campsight of its French ambiance ..😕😩...

Be aware electric vehicle owners: It is NOT possible to charge your EV at this camping. Even though they are advertising this is possible on their website. It is even indicated on their camping map and printed brochures. Before booking I called the camping to make sure, and over the phone they said “yes it is possible we have a few charging points” but upon arrival they were absolutely zero. I asked the receptionist again and she said it’s not possible. She called the manager to ask if it would be possible to charge using a regular wall outlet but they wouldn’t allow it. The lady at the desk was very nice though and this is obviously not her fault. She was very understanding and said I was not the first person to complain. Best option was a (slow) charger about 5km away, so that would mean you would have to walk +- 1 hour back to the campsite, and then 1 hour back once charging was finished.We were staying at the Premium cottages that are very nice. They are in a quiet neighborhood. We couldn’t hear the bar/music at night so the location is fine.We were traveling with two small kids (ages 1 and 2). The swimming pool is nice. They also have a bouncy castle. But other than that there’s not much to do for the smallest kids. They have a few playgrounds and “kids club” but those are for older children.The restaurant is a little small, they have a few tables outside but most of them are in direct sunlight with no shade whatsoever. That’s way to hot for children.

The facilities (toilets/showers) areas were excellent and kept very clean and tidy. The swimming pool was excellent also and again kept very clean and tidy. The pitches were of a great standard to with divisions between each pitch. We stayed outside of the school holidays, and it was very quiet and peaceful - great for us.

Nice Camping and also the pool is huge for children and adults.
