Latest reviews for CAMPING LES VIOLETTES
Stayed as a cyclist on the Canal du Midi route, which is approximately 1km away. They offer a large tent for cyclists and walkers with kitchen facilities and plenty of plugs for recharging GPS and mobiles. The shower toilet facilities are modern and really clean. Great family atmosphere and friendly staff. Slight road noise at night and is on the Toulouse airport flight path, great for spotting planes but does add noise although flights do stop at night.
It's the first time I made a reservation for a camping (I normaly don't like to take the risk and end up in a place that I don't like).. Camping les violettes did not dissapoint us. We travel with a tent so we don't have the luxury of airco, so I asked for a flat spot with lots of shade. And that's what they gave us.They were also the first to reply my email when I wrote to several campings to ask about available places. It is true that during the day you can hear airplanes taking off, or going for their descent. (The airport is on the north-west side of Toulouse, the camping on the oposite side) During the night there are no flights, and during the day there are not that many planes passing. It did not bother me at all, even as a bonus: you don't see everyday an airbus beluga plane going for its descent. There is a main road that passes right by the camping and yes, you can hear that traffic. During the night its much less and it did not bother me. (I am a sensitive person and I love the silence)Talking about that road: this road also makes that you have great accessibility. If you want to make a peacefull trip to toulouse you can take the car to the carpark p+r in ramonville and and take there the metro. The parking is free if you use your metroticket as payment for the parking. There is breadservice on the camping but there are also many many bakeries in the area. There is also a nice restaurant, next to the camping. If you, just like me, also like the silence, I suggest you ask a place away from the pool and shower block. But as always keep in mind that its camping, there will always be some noise ...Talking about the shower, toilet and washing block: they are always clean and tidy. There is a cleaning crew that takes care of that.In short, a great camping to discover the area or to use to travel further.
Don't worry that this camping is on a main road because from our plot at least couldn't hear it at all. Facilities here were plentiful (large toilet/shower/washing block), clean and relatively modern. Very large children's play area and I imagine this place can be very busy and noisy at peak times. However, out of season when we were there was very quiet.
Have spent a night here. Small site, in between the highway, a local road and when we stayed, the take off path of Toulouse Airport. Great for plane spotters.Excellent service, excellent sanitary. Though we would have preferred the showers to be more than just luke warm, when the outside temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius.Perhaps the owner think of using the energy of the rather loud night music in the sanitary building to heat the water?
Fabulous. Clean. Beautiful, green, grounds. Pool.Great bicycle traveler area. Kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, futon and picnic table, multiple outlets for charging phones. In the tent camping area, several picnic tables, adirondack-style chairs and small tables, clothes lines. Water. Showers and toilettes and sinks are clean. Building is up-to-date, well-lit, and even has music playing.Staff are welcoming and helpfulThe only little glitch is the road noise.Highly recommend for bike travelers.
