Latest reviews for CAMPING LE RUPÉ
We loved this place for so many reasons. The staff there were amazing - so friendly and helpful. They made it for us - yes the site had all you need but we really enjoyed the company of the staff and their warm welcome - they even opened the kitchen and cooked me a full meal at 10:45pm! Felt like being at home! Their food was superb - the duck amazing and so well priced - less than 1/3 of what you'd expect to pay in town. Talking of the town it's so easy to get right into the heart of Toulouse by public transport or a flat ride along the canal - either being 20 minutes. If you are looking for a site in Toulouse this is the one!
Very nice camping for visiting Toulouse City. Very easy and convenient to get around the city with a bus, tram or metro... or a combination of them all. Nice and welcoming staff, all facilities available and a little restaurant/snack bar on site.
The good: close to the city with transportation options including bike paths. Our site was level and the security gates made us feel secure. The not so good: The bathrooms lack toilet paper and hand soap. The shower water wasn’t hot. The restaurant is closed and no option to order fresh bread.
A well located campsite if you have bikes as the campsite is near a canal that goes straight into Toulouse. Once there, there is free underground parking for your bikes. The site has one central sanitary block with unisex facilities and depending on site you can be a bit of a walk. It is cross shaped block with doors in the four intersecting corners, initially it can be quite disorientating and it's easy to exit by a different door than you entered by. On the down side, I would love to have had my gardening tools with me as the place could look 100% better with a bit of care and attention and some serious weeding. Cafe not open, didn't enquire if it does. Four washing machines and two dryers but only one dryer working and it had incomplete drying left in it. Washers are on plinth and dryers stacked on top requiring a double step to access it. 5euro for washer and 3euro for drying (may need two goes).
A decent camp site for short stay. This review is based on the early April 2024 weekend stay with three people. We stayed in a tent box and back of the car. We arrived late but the site was very helpful. Basic facilities of toilet, shower, laundry were all present and kept quite clean. Because of the weekend there were quite loud music from a nearby club but it did not bother us too much. There were a few eating places within a 8 minute walk but make sure you take torch at night and use the footpath across the road from the campsite. Overall fine for short stay for Toulouse.
