A very beautiful and remote camping! We stayed here during the low season and there were just a few other people staying here. The pitches are really big with lots of shade! There's plum trees everywhere and they're full of plums that you can eat straight from the trees! The pool is amazing with a beautiful view on the mountains! The sunset there is fantastic! What I lived most was that one of the nights we heard a lynx and another night our trashcan got attacked by some wild animal (probably a fox) that left our trash all over the field hahaha. So you better keep your trash inside your tent! From the Clamensane village there's a beautiful 6,5 kilometer hike with stunning views! Would highly recommend doing that! The only thing we didn't like were the showers that were kinda cold. But besides that it's a great place for anyone who likes to stay in a quiet place with nature everywhere!!
We stayed in an Ohara mobile home on this camping last week. The camping is nicely located in a small valley with stunning views. The staff is friendly and they had Dutch / french animation that the kids liked a lot. The pool, the river and surroundings make a great holiday location. For cyclists or mountainbikers this camping is awesome. What I really missed was shade. Where the caravan and tent places seem to have trees and shade the mobile homes have not. the roof of the mobile homes are in the blistering sun from 09:00-20:00. It was so hot in the mobile home that cooking and sleeping was almost impossible. It would be great if the camping would provide some sort of shade cover/cloth so you could sit in front of the mobile home. Now we were forced to sit on the side or back of it so the mobile home itself provided the shade.Another point of concern is the dogs that guests take to the camping. I don’t have an issue with dogs on a camping but I do have an issue with dogs that randomly attack other dogs, kids in a baby car or someone on a mountainbike. In less then a week there was a ‘dog fight’, one dog attacked me while I was on my bike and another attacked my kid in the stroller. If the last dog wasn’t on a leash and was ‘forced’ to stop 2 m from it I wouldn’t dare to guess what was happened. This is unacceptable for a camping.
If your looking for a small camping but enough to do for little children this Will do the magic of getting time off for your self. The owners were more than kind and helpful in anyway possible. The lady who took care of the animation was also perfect with the kids . Even when my little daughter sneaked out back to our caravan she immediately came together with my son to check if she was at home .Looking at the pictures of were the camping is based , the real deal was even better. Don’t go if you like to be near other places . The place is a spot in the middle of nothing!!!!!!! But for us it was fantastic.
Excellent camping. We had the deluxe safari tent with 5 persons, perfect rental and ideally situated at the top of the camping (very quiet and regular wildlife coming to look). Our kids loved the swimming pool and particularly the water slide. The owners have a ‘snack bar’ that serves simple but delicious dishes, definitely recommended (try the cheese burger or tex mex drumsticks!).Owners are very friendly and speak solid english. For activities, check out the Bayons waterfall, the Gorges de la Méouge, Via Ferrata at Caire. There’s a great view at the village of Valavoire
We LOVE this site!Perfect for families - we have stayed 3 times, our children were 1 and 5 the first time. The owners are so friendly and so helpful. We had a nightmare with a broken down car and they were really caring and tried to help. The site is clean, well set out and quiet. We were the only brits on the site but everyone was warm and welcoming.Children had a great time. Didn't use the kids club due to language barrier with other children so my girls were reluctant but had a fab family time instead. Partner paraglides while we swim, explore and play on the site. Bouncy castle is a favourite. Will be back this year ( hopefully with a working car!). Fully recommend this site for anyone looking for all the facilities without the crowds and regimented feel of the larger sites.
