Latest reviews for CAMPING APV AU VALLON ROUGE
Avoid this place! Especially if your English! We spent over £100 per night at this camp site and you can’t wear ‘swimming’ shorts if your male or flip flop as a general rule. So men make sure you bring the budgy smugglers if you stay here! The pool guy sat there for 20 mins till he came over and said no shorts to my partner whilst we were in the pool. Everyone was french in the pool and clearly picked on us English and was rude. Won’t be recommending or coming back here. 4 star no way!! Silly rules and manners by the pool. Thanks for ruining our holiday!
We spent 1 week in AUG22 in a mobile-home (wife + 5yo kid), it went well. Swimming pool was decent size (beware the no swim shorts policy), on site evening animations were enjoyable, bar was serving good cocktails and burgers (don’t order the pizza, tasted like cheap frozen one). Play area for children, pétanque field, bouncy castle, football pitch… small on site shop for essentials, bigger shop 12min drive away. River accessible straight from our mobile home location was a nice refreshing touch. Nice mountain scenery.
We arrived without booking we were on our way to another site but the climb up the mountain was too steep so we were very lucky to get in her. Firstly when we arrived they were closed for lunch a very nice member of staff allowed us to pull in until the office opened. We originally were going to stay overnight but it’s such a beautiful site we’re staying on. The pool is great with a restaurant and small shop on site. The bread and croissants can be ordered which we did. They were still warm and delicious. Would highly recommend this site
Beautiful small camping in the woods. Very nice receptionist and many nice people who camp there too. We had a spot directly next to a little river where you can walk through. Toilets and shower were pretty clean and had warm water. Theres a swimming pool and activities for kids. There was also a concert when we arrived
Nice location but reception is often not staffed. Makes things really difficult if arriving with lots of luggage (e.g. tents) as you may have to wait outside of reception for several hours if you arrive at the wrong time. Perhaps an email letting you know what site had been allocated to you so that you could set up whilst waiting for reception would improve this. The food in the restaurant was really good for a campsite.
