Very clean Municipal Campsite. As you would expect. It's cheap (€8) for me and my bicycle. It's quiet, apart from the road about a km away. But that is modern cars with big tyres. This was quiet 30 years ago when there was less, huge cars, with wide tyres. So a pair of ear plugs and I slept well. No loud music. It is a huge site. Lots of space for tents. Motorhomes that are 'Off Grid' with solar power would like it here. Lots of outdoor things for the children. Table tennis, area for football. Bring bats, balls etc . People are nice here. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is good. Plenty of shade from the trees, so perfect for the summer heat. About a 15 minute cycle to the Port which is very lively and has a huge outdoor food area selling seafood extremely cheap. Disco, kids entertainment , cheap alcohol, right next to the Marina. Holiday stuff. The campsite is very close to the train station. As with all Municipal, if you arrive after 5pm. Probably nobody at the reception. You can just walk in, and pay in the morning. Or Camp your motorhome outside. Plenty of places to park nearby.
Arrived by bike in late May. If a campsite it looks very poor, no sign of camping other than an area for what looked like permanent caravans. Very noisy with music stage set up by locals. No sign of anyone in authority. I left.
A great place to stay away from the busy Port du Bec but easy to visit from site. Pine forest casual layout with adequate, reasonably modern and appropriate washing and toilet facilities. Plenty of space for pétanques tournaments for all ages and formal court for organised games. Children's play area and some ping pong tables too.Managers very friendly and helpful. Always there if you need them. I did so my thanks too. This is a Camping Municipal so price is low as you would expect. Would stay again.
Wow. The Wild West. Toilets are absolutely completely vile. Unusably vile. There are huge groups of campers who have lights rigged up, loud music, keep starting their cars, shouting at each other. There’s a constant beeping sound from something electronic driving me mad. Worst campsite of my trip. Avoid.
Cool
