A wonderful campsite! I spent a dream week in a lovely and well equipped house. The pool is clean and warm. The restaurant and bar have excellent service. The girls at the reception were always smiling and willing to help you. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart!
We visited this site in 2019 and just loved it.However this visit was quite disappointing from arrival with dismissive and inattentive staff. They weren’t busy. The whole site has become overcrowded with chalets which obviously creates more income but this also creates a dust bowl with cars in and out. It seems the whole place has expanded but without the maintenance to cover it.One unisex shower block is quite crowded so we used the other one nearer the chalets. After 4 days this had not been cleaned apart from a hose down. The shower trays were really clogged with hair and quite vile and the cobwebs around the ceiling had obviously been there a very long time. I spoke to reception on the morning of day 4 who barely let me finish before picking up the phone to talk to who I presumed was a member of staff to arrange a clean. Rude!I found myself apologising! But assumed it would sorted. That block was eventually cleaned much later the next day. But not the washing up area. Also no chemical toilet that end so it’s a long way to carry a cassette down to the lower end toilets. The MH service area which also has a chemical waste point has no separate tap so people are using the fresh water hose to rinse out their cassette….ew.However the large pool area is well maintained so clean, although not enough shade unless you get there early. The bar staff are all lovely and obviously the location is amazing, a short walk to the beautiful little town with great restaurants and shops.Which I think explains a lot. They know they will always be busy.Bad management and we can only presume it’s become a franchise.
Great on site facilities - sanitary, laundry, really nice big pool. Very good location in relation to the townThe pitches are quite earthy / dusty with lots of ants but that’s just the area you’re in. All are plenty big with lots of shade.Unfortunately 1 night we had to listen to a group enjoying themselves at the pétanque until 3am. But this wouldn’t stop me from returning.
Stayed for 4 nights. What a gorgeous place Lourmarin is in May. All the flowers in bloom, great weather. This site has a lovely swimming pool, and amazingly, self-cleaning toilets ( although they had a couple of technical issues while we were there.) Lots of very happy kids running about. Perfect place to cycle from.I could live here : )One thing - a long way from a reasonable supermarket, and the local shops are tres expensive
We felt very welcomed the moment we stepped foot on the campsite, starting with the reception. Luciana was very knowledgeable and friendly and she made sure we had everything we needed. The campsite was very clean and well maintained by the attentive and friendly staff, who always went above and beyond their call of duty and took time of their busy days to always have a chat and a laugh with us. We loved the activities on-site, particularly the karaoke and the Pétanque which we’ve never played before, but we were encouraged to try and it was a lot of fun!The food was great, our two teenagers loved the escargot which they ordered a few times. The pool was impeccably clean, all in all, a great first visit! We enjoyed it so much, we decided to return next summer!
