Arrived after an 8 hour drive only to be presented with a pitch that doesn’t fit our caravan. Staff as helpful as could be but explained that Caravan and Motorhome Club do not share the outfit length with them which seems ludicrous! This has ultimately left us in a very dangerous postion as the site is fully booked so no alternative pitches - our caravan is overhanging the road and we are almost on top of the tent next door! The site safety policy seems very woolly and is certainly not inline with UK expectations. Be wary as a UK visitor!Your responce isn’t accurate. I wasn’t able to put my awning up as it would have been in the road! We were also on a road end which cut off some of the pitch. Yes, I got on the pitch (just) but the rear of the caravan was less than 1m from the chaps tent next to me, let’s hope he didn’t mind!! I was also never offered the pitch next to me to park my car. Your offer was for me to park my car at the toilet block. Yes, I have a large caravan. However, when I booked there were no exclusions or restrictions. All the information of my outfit size were sent to you prior to my visit. This should have given you plenty of time to give me a min 90m2 pitch the Caravan club guests pay for. I refused to move as the only reasonable offer of a larger pitch would mean us moving after 5 days, I was fed up of being told ‘it is not possible’. You weren’t spoiling our holiday any further!Interesting how you respond the day after we left too!
We camped in our van so can't comment on accommodation. Block in the middle of site with toilets, sinks and showers (take your own loo roll and hand soap) and laundry - more machines nearer reception. Two outdoor pools and one warm indoor pool, all with just one lifeguard, slides were fun for the kids.Kids play area with bouncy castle, trampolines and slides were good. There is a mini club but we didn't visit it.If you take your own food, you must eat at picnic tables, not in site snack/ bar area.Camping areas are quite close to one another. If you leave the site, there are shops, beaches and restaurants closeby.
We spent there 2 weeks.Place is great and also the facility. When you camp there try avoid shower and toilet as they clean them only once a day and it has 1 toilet area for all huge camping…Service of the receptionists was middle not so much nice but not bad.. just the fact that families come to holiday would be better to welcome them with a smile.Medium score to that camping place.
Good site. Entertainment is very french dont expect much english language but it is good. Pools are very good although life guards are not always at post. Reception speak good English. Typical French toilets ie no seatJust basin. Bbq area is communal unless you have your own GAS bbq.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay but the campsite had too many issues to recommend it. We stayed for 2 weeks in a tentWe were camping in a tent and immediately had issues with reception. They refused to allow us to review and pick a pitch, just take one that was given to us, we needed shade as we had a small baby. Unusual for campsites, normally there is a choice. We were told the back of the campsite was closed. This wasn't true. Reception staff continued throughout the stay in being difficult and unhelpful. The bar staff were really nice however.Heavy rains flooded the pitch we stayed in as it had no drainage, flanked by a path and the bathrooms. 10cm of water at the deepest point. Reception didn't care or even investigate the pitch to find out why it flooded. No other pitch flooded. After an argument they let us move to the back of the campsite (it wasn't closed). That pitch was excellent and we had no problems with it for the last two weeks. There's no actual common area in the campsite. If the bar is closed (which it did on Wednesdays) or after a certain time (you had to reserve tables for food) there was no common area to hangout indoors. The toilets were consistently dirty during our stay, both the ones near the first pitch, and the ones near the second. There was also no handsoap or anything to dry your hands with. A small but consistent inconvenience.Saturday nights are extremely noisy on the campsite. There is a hotel overlooking the site which hosts weddings until 3am. And two other sources of music could be heard until late as well on both Saturdays, as well as a fireworks display at midnight. Not the campsites fault but something to be wary of.The campsites location is excellent, a very short walk to the beach and town. The swimming pool and area is well maintained but closes too early, 7pm, even though there was no lifeguard.
